...Thanks for sharing your views Dr Guru Raghavan.

I think a genetic anslysis of the present Muslims of Ambur and non-Muslims of Ambur and surrounding regions would through light on whether the transference was only cultural and not genetic. The conversion could have happened in the 15 -16th century. The status of the people before that must be ascertained. There are some inscriptions on Nulamban found near Vellore. I will get the details from the publications of archeological dept Jayasree Saranathan https://www.blogger.com/profile/01048252011566427834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442555339667770589.post-72736384382433509682013-08-29T14:30:18.341+05:302013-08-29T14:30:18.341+05:30I should admit that I read a very interesting post...I should admit that I read a very interesting post with deeper research potentialities. While going through the post, some thoughts occurred to me. Let us take the case of Amoor (now Ambur). It is reported that Vedic Brahmins populated this Amoor in Sangam age and they were engaged in Vedic rituals. It is assumed that they were all converted under threat to their lives.

To prove this assumption, one may think of this option.

1.Analyse the authentic birth details and the horoscopes of the present converted occupants who are known to live in Ambur for generations.

2.Surely the placement of planets in their horoscopes would reveal that they have not taken care of their family deity

3.If it were so, they may have been suffering from pre-destined curses.

4.One can draw such a list to confirm this.

5.This can be corroborated with Naadi readings. In my view, Naadi readings are very good for deciphering the past.

6.I also believe some of the converted population of Amoor may be practising their family rituals still.

I believe this approach may further consolidate our assumptions.

Of course, I should admit, the thought for this process was taken by me from your one of your earlier posts on former AP Chief Minister YSR’s death and his horoscope reading on angering his ancestral family goddess.

Thanks for this opportunity to interact

With best regards

Dr Guru.Raghavan

PS: I am aware this will be a gigantic effort. A group of likeminded researchers can get into this.
A Senior Citizen https://www.blogger.com/profile/09152602488392927236noreply@blogger.com
