Rahu the snake in the name of Sasikala is going to eat all principles of dharma and law from that time onwards. It is all because Jayalalithaa refused to realise that there is a snake in her house but instead groomed it only to swallow the State that trusted her blindly.Jayasree Saranathan https://www.blogger.com/profile/01048252011566427834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442555339667770589.post-29168931201230466642017-02-04T22:55:50.447+05:302017-02-04T22:55:50.447+05:30This week has proved our country's future look...This week has proved our country's future looks more and more hopeless. The Maran verdict proves judiciary is no longer worthy of people's trust. First we had Salman Khan getting away claiming the black buck died on its own and now Maran brothers get away.Nobody in top layer ever seems to get indicted for anything.Sharad Pawar getting a Padma Vibushan is a further slap on all who thought PM Modi will bring a change and make India corruption-free. TN was the only state with hope now with a new CM expected Monday we have to hope only for divine intervention. This country seems to survive only by Gods grace with this level of corruption and injustice.
Do you see any change for good at any level astrologically? I remember you had predicted turmoil for India till 2018 but never thought the last hope judiciary would also fail so spectacularly.harineehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07301842062870611932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442555339667770589.post-23957427347328367882017-02-03T17:42:58.901+05:302017-02-03T17:42:58.901+05:30Very good Article.chance to learn our history.

I was particularly angry when he asked for President's rule when JJ was hospitalised saying there is a law and order situation in TN when there was nothing of the sort. Also I cannot forgive him for pretending he was fighting corruption with JJ case all these years whereas only a year back he was trying to form a allance with JJ for elections.A liar and hypocrite who was always badmouthing Vajpayee and called BJP anti-Muslim not pro-Hindu some years back now joins the same party.
People have such short memories thats the problem. They forget he is one of the suspects in Jain commission which was stalled by late PVN only to save Chandraswami and him.
Even the 2G case where he is credited ,the real credit belongs to J Gopalakrishnan of Daily Pioneer.I dont think he will win any of the cases he is not genuine.harineehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07301842062870611932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442555339667770589.post-17109820203383004742017-01-23T15:29:04.844+05:302017-01-23T15:29:04.844+05:30In the final analysis, Modi's refusal to do an...In the final analysis, Modi's refusal to do anything against SC dented his image while his help in getting the Ordinance went unimpressive. This was exploited by anti-socials. Looking back now I think that part of Modi's interaction with OPS in their meeting could have been played down or not mentioned at all for public consumption. So saying I wish to point out that without Modi's push, this ordinance with its inputs could not have come so soon.

As you say, even I don't subscribe to some of Modi's ways vis-a-vis TN. He should not have hurried in getting done Uday, NEET, GST, elevated Highway across Coovum so soon after JJ became sick. He should not have played a double game in Cauvery issue in the SC. When that is very fresh in people's mind, he must have applied caution in expressing his view on central role in Jallikattu in the wake of SC ban. And finally I am also of the opinion, that he must not speak Hindi when the message is intended to reach TN also. He knows English, and he must use that language for communication with non- Hindi speaking people. Elsewhere I have written an article in this blogspot that our kids should not be forced to learn more languages. If he brings in Hindi, certainly that would whip up more of Tamil sentiments. As a researcher, I would say that Hindi borrowed its words from ApaBrahmsa which was an olden common language of India - which was originally an unrefined form of Tamil.

On your view on how BJP can grow in TN, I would say that if Subramnian Swamy keeps his mouth shut, local BJP can make some strides. His talks are easy fodder to put into use and mis-use by the anti-social and anti- national politicians and interest groups. His latest tweet calls for Sasikala taking over CM-ship as OPS (according to him) proved useless in the Jallikattu agitation. Perhaps he thinks that ADMK voters would shun ADMK if Sasikala comes to power and that voter base would turn to BJP. He is wrong. By this tweet, he continues to turn away BJP- sympathetic voters of ADMK from the BJP. He can just shut up his mouth on anything on Hindu issues and Tamil nadu politics and instead concentrate on court cases against Congress and DMK.

Jayasree Saranathan https://www.blogger.com/profile/01048252011566427834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442555339667770589.post-43704726037910118802017-01-23T15:28:50.513+05:302017-01-23T15:28:50.513+05:30Thanks for venting out your feelings Ms Harinee.
...Thanks for venting out your feelings Ms Harinee.

Yes, there can be no different opinion on how we miss Jayalalithaa at this juncture. Infact what fueled the agitators - that brought in common public too from the 2nd day onwards - was the fact that issues of interest to TN that JJ stoutly defended were left to die out right from the time she was admitted in Apollo. Till now there is no explanation from TN govt on why Uday scheme was approved and whether the concerns expressed by JJ were taken care of. There is absolutely no murmur on NEET exam which is going to see only 10% or less of the medical aspirants in TN on any year to pass through. The Sasikala- Natarajan lootty is another factor that took us all for a ride. It is in this backdrop, the clamping on the protesters in Alanganallur provided the spark which saw only a small crowd congregating in the Marina and others voicing their support for it.

As Hip-hop Adhi said, initially TN Govt and Police seemed to encourage the gathering of momentum of the protest, perhaps due to the irritant flung on us by the SC refusing to give the verdict in time - before Pongal. Once the momentum started gathering, OPS met Modi to chalk out a way. But what Modi said angered many in TN. He refused to do anything from his side citing SC's views while he did not bother about SC's ruling on Cauvery water issue, when Karnataka refused to abide by SC ruling to release water. This is a major mistake from the side of Centre, BJP and Modi. This hypocritical treatment definitely went down well with almost everyone in TN. While people like us were mute spectators, some students did speak about it in Marina. RJ Balaji's speeches did reflect the disillusionment against hypocritic politicians and on hearing it the first time I also admired it. But such a provoking speech to an already- emotional crowd is something like a time bomb.

Fringe elements and anti ADMK / anti BJP goons made use of this and started talking openly from Friday onwards. When OPS came with the good news, that was not allowed to seep into the crowd at Marina or elsewhere while we watching TV and SM felt that all would end well. But that was not to happen as the anti-socials reaped maximum benefit in the last 2 days.

(cont'd)
Jayasree Saranathan https://www.blogger.com/profile/01048252011566427834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442555339667770589.post-74031392090901856842017-01-22T22:59:16.862+05:302017-01-22T22:59:16.862+05:30I think the movement has been great in highlightin...I think the movement has been great in highlighting two things. People can bring down politicians when they show organised peaceful protests in large numbers. Second thing is, it highlighted what the late CM meant to this state. The leadership vacuum to the size of a blackhole was evident. No politician could show the leadership or skills to solve the issue without it reaching such mass proportions. All the power and money in the world cannot buy you leadership skills.DMK and other parties indulged in cheap stunts as usual. The late CM was a giant in stature and this protest was a proof that with how much skill she had been managing people's expectations and disappointments.
BJP and PM are themselves to blame for their unpopularity. Pon Radhakrishnan and Thamilisai never give a synched up response. And Thamilisai more than often contradicts herself. I am no fan of Modi, he has never tried to make a connection with TN.He continues to send messages in Hindi nationally fully knowing that there is a huge section of people who don't understand the language.i am extremely fluent in Hindi but I still do not accept the imposition unless North is willing to pick a southern language vice versa. BJP wasn't even responsible for the ban but there was no bold stand also till pushed to the corner.Congress and DMK the real culprits never got what they deserved.
For BJP to grow in TN strong local leadership is needed which is completely absent now.harineehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07301842062870611932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442555339667770589.post-4709448163629971112017-01-22T21:05:44.379+05:302017-01-22T21:05:44.379+05:30Dear Madam

This stir must have been called off the moment the ordinance was passed. Hip-hop Adhi's video speech is revealing. Even I came to witness vulgar shouts against Modiji near Valluvara Kottam yesterday - while infact Modiji and OPS had done a commendable job in restoring Jallikattu.

The students must go back home. Let parents and schools and colleges keep a strict eye on the attendance of their wards in class rooms. This agitation has been hyped beyond it deserves. All TV crew must wind up and no more telecast of the protests or interview of the protesters. Two lives were lost in Jallikattu today. No use in finding fault with Govt for this. Thinking of the dangers to men and also the animals, the shows must be restricted to only traditional places and with only trained tamers. If things continue to go in the way it had happened today - both in jallikattu arena and the protest sites, I dont think the Supreme court would take a lenient view on the game. It would put a complete full stop to Jallikattu.

On your question, India is entering a difficult phase of Rahu Bhukti in Moon Maha dasa from 7th Feb 2-2017 onwards. This will last till 11th August 2018. There are going to be problems around. for more than a year till August 2018.

Jayasree Saranathan https://www.blogger.com/profile/01048252011566427834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442555339667770589.post-84099727284080707702017-01-22T17:23:49.647+05:302017-01-22T17:23:49.647+05:30Dear Madam,

Lets hope that something comes up from the State Govt side so that it can be taken up by the centre and get President's nod.

Looking at the gathering of momentum by the students and others following suit, I think that there is some pent-up frustration and helplessness running across the State at the turn of events in the aftermath of Jayalalithaa's illness and demise. We don't know what is happening or what is happening is good for the State - Uday scheme, Neet and corridor across the Coovum to name a few which Jayalalithaa vehemently opposed. Jallikattu is a simple idea with which everyone in the State can connect. I think that is forming the focal point to express our displeasure with the way our affairs are governed.
