However I differ from some of your points i) I am not yet fully convinced about general views on ASHUR/AHUR/ASURA. THE Ashur of Sumerian/Babylonian is completely different from Ahur of Iranian or Asura of Puranas. The Ashur of Babylonian is intellect while Ahur of Avesta is light and Asura of Puranic is the most confusing The general meaning of Asura is who declined Sura--i.e., at the time of Churning Varunis appeared which was declined by Asuras and Devas after taking it became Suras-- most unconvincing ie., for Devas both Soma and Sura are acceptable? The concept of sacrifices its supporters and opponents varied with time At one time Dhakshinachara accepted Vedic sacrifices while Vamachara were bitterly opposed it became Vratyas to be condemned by Manu. When Tantrism became prevalent Dskshinachara took opposite views adopted Vedanta and Vamachara took sacrifices and drinking. Unfortunately Dhakshinachara has been interpreted as South Indian but not correct. The functional groups RIGHT AND LEFT HAND is universal which was introduced in India during the period of Kadambas. While in ancient Tamil Right hand denoted agricultural class who were infested with Sacred thread andcwith Kings and Tamil Left hand denoted Industrial class born with sacred thread without initiation and Prakrit without kings but as warriors. There is interesting legend in Central Africa/Ethiopia/Lower Nile that Industrial class were without protection and sought preceptor for anointments of king(Vishwe Devas approaching Prajapathi for appointing kings)for protection but subsequently took up the role of king themselves. If Vedic hymns are analysed shedding sophistication one amazingly find similarity between Vedic life and aborigines including Dalits. Unfortunately somehow the Vedantins of Sankhya Philosophy appropriated Purva Mimamsa with the result that ISHTIS the sacrifices done for specific purpose was considered to be the highest but in the garb of sacrifices not fit for Kali Yuga the Vedantins separated ordinary folk from Vedic way of life. Since during the time of Maxmuler the sacrifices were in the hands of Vedanthins it was easy for Maxmuler to combine Avesta and Rig Veda and formulate the theory of AIT. Strangely the protagonists suppressed one fact--Dasas/Dasyus were part of Iranian tribes where Avesta has specific Gathas driving them not towards India but towards North of Iran. Normally it is the practice of Indian astrologers to suggest hymns in various languages for certain problems the Gathas pertaining to Ariyas and Dasyus of Avesta had been included which may pertain to pre Egyptian/Sumerian civilisations. Thus it is not surprising that Vedic customs are prevalent more among Dalits and aborigines from Devendrakula Vellalas in South to Kinnaurs of Himalayas than among Brahmins since Brahmins have become Nyaya Vaisheshikas/Sankhyas long ago evolving themselves without sacrifices but under the garb of Kali. Finally the Sankhyans deviated from Vedic Gods while retaining them converted them as DIGBALAS/SAVIOUR OF ENVIRONMENT but not granting boons for sensual enjoyments which was the ultimate aim of Ishtis. This has been hotly discussed in intellectual arguments that IMMORTALITY OF PAINLESS SENSUALISM is inferior to ABSOLUTE LIBERATION FROM BIRTH AND DEATH. In my opinion all the stories of epics relate only to aborigines and Dalits who had fallen due to excess ritualism for sensualism. Thus the entire people of this country belong to only one group but due to swerving from normal path they drifted apart creating multitude of languages.Tejaswininimburiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06098146870657720928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3442555339667770589.post-48259802684807138882014-04-11T14:55:16.976+05:302014-04-11T14:55:16.976+05:30Where did I say that Santals worshiped Renuka?
