Yukteshwar Giri's yuga concept differs from the Vedic concept (Part 7 of Yuga series)

Yuga Series in Dheivam Channel: Part 7.

In this, I have talked about the 24,000-year Yuga calculation given by Yukteshwar Giri. He says that Yuga is based on the precession cycle. This concept is based on the idea that the earth's axis keeps moving backwards; it takes 24,000 years to complete one circle. This is called precession; this cycle of 24,000 years is considered to be divided into four yugas, according to Yukteshwar Giri.

This concept is not mentioned in our scriptures. Based on the astrological texts like Surya Siddhanta, there is no precession; but the sun moves forwards and backwards. That is, the sun does not move in a straight line in the universe. It moves in a winding path like a snake. Everything in the universe moves in a spiral.

To us who travel with the sun, this curved path looks as though the sun is moving forwards and backwards.

Also, the earth's axis does not move. If it is true that it moves, then on the days of equinox (equal day and equal night), the sun will not be visible in the middle of our temple towers. I have explained such details in this part to establish that Yukteshwar Giri's version is not correct and that the Yuga concept is not based on precession.

I have not read Yukteshwar's book. But I have read the below reference:
https://binaryresearchinstitute.org/bri/calculations/100-year-test/
in which Walter Cruttenden quotes Yukteshwar :

In 1894 the Indian astronomer, Sri Yukteswar, wrote that the cause of the moving equinox (a.k.a. precession observable) was the result of our sun’s orbit around another star. He estimated the orbit period at 24,000 years and put apoapsis at about 500 A.D., saying the change in angular velocity (precession observable) would average 54” p/y over the life of the orbit.

And shows a graph how yukteshwar's model matches with data and that of Newcomb's.
Based on the above - Walter has devised binary model - wherein he also says earth does not wobble - but appears so - or in other words - precession is due to due to the changing orientation of the solar system as it curves through space – it has almost nothing to do with a local wobbling of the earth.
I have discussed more about this in my linkedin post:

@ Sundar,
Thanks for your comment. Yukteshwar Giri did not 'create' or 'discover' any theory of precession. Nor did he say that the earth's axis is not wobbling or precessing. He simply adopted the western calculation of duration of the precession cycle as 24,000 years, but linked it with the yuga concept (though faulty) and linked it with this duration of precession cycle (again faulty because Catur Yuga calculation is not based on precession). Keeping this fact in the background, look at what Binary Institute found out. They found out that the earth's axis is not wobbling; its stable. That is exactly what Vedic astronomy proposes. Yet the equinox is shifting. How? To find an answer for this, the Binary Institute proposes that the Sun has a binary (Sirius probably) and the two move around each other. Its for their proposition of binary concept they named their Institute as Binary. This is a hypothesis and there is no hint available scientifically for the duration of a revolution around the binary star. Herein they picked up Yukteshwar's concept which they believed was Vedic as he dabbled with Yuga concept for 24,000 years.

I cited in my paper, Binary Institute's version of absence of axial precession as they proved it with moon data. My paper was part 1 of a 5-part paper published in the Astrological Magazine edited by Dr. BV Raman's son. https://jayasreesaranathan.blogspot.com/2020/07/my-research-paper-on-siddhantic-concept.html
I also proved the absence of axial precession through archaeo astronomy of the structures which was well noted by western researchers working on this.https://jayasreesaranathan.blogspot.com/2020/09/no-precession-of-equinoxes-proven-by.html

Coming to the duration of the cycle, I depend on Vedic / Siddhantic version of 7200 years, which is well tested in time and written in my Mahabharata book, and now in my upcoming Ramayana book and explained in some of my videos. It is based on the concept that the sun (solar system too) is moving in a helical path by which an observer on the earth is seeing the sun move to and fro. There is no binary as per our Vedic texts. Only this concept is present, which necessitated the calculation of ayanamsa to deduct it when the sun strays westward (as it is now) and add it when the sun is to the east of zero degree Aries. The anomalies witnessed now such as the inner core changing direction, magnetic pole shifting faster towards east, polar vortex disturbed, gulf streams changing direction, aurora seen until lower latitudes, ozone hole shrinking on its own, break up of the African continent, subduction of Indian plate into Tibetan plate, detection of two magma blobs, magma sloshing and many more are the result of the sun (with the solar system) turning around in its path. Read details here: https://jayasreesaranathan.blogspot.com/2023/02/inner-core-of-earth-changing-direction.html

Not Newcombe, but George Dodwell is closer to reality. He detected the fluctuating obliquity which I showed in the above link of mine as shrinking of the solstices. The Nahusha factor indicates the stabilizing obliquity of Dodwell. We are now moving towards that which you will read in my article in the link.
For Dodwell's theory check this video which also talks about my finding of absence of axial precession through archaeo astronomy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJTbAHieLTY
