I was wondering how a retro Jupiter which is good for India – a chance that Jupiter as Dharma devatha rarely gets once in a few years – proved to be the anchor for the death of a Chief Minister of India.
Jupiter is badly placed in Indian natal chart. It is the lord of the 8th house and also the lord of the 22nd Drekkana, being placed in a dusthana in the 6th where again it was badly afflicted by occupying the Mrityu bhaga. I was recording every event during this period that showed success for Dharma.
But I didn’t expect the death of a CM – that too happening at the exact moment when Jupiter was transiting the death degrees in its power-packed transit to uphold Dharma.
But it did and it means that there is some element of justice in Jupiter’s ways.
The celestial chart for the time of loss of contact with the CM’s chopper contains some imprints of the ways of this planet of Justice. And when I analyzed his birth chart, I found why it happened like that.
Now let us first look at YSR Reddy’s birth chart.
I was given two timings
The Vipareeta Raja yoga has catapulted him to power circles with the onset of Sun’s Maha dasa. The Chandraadhi yoga has given him power with the onset of Rahu dasa. (Rahu is in the asterism of Mercury who is involved in Chandradhi and Harsha yoga)
I wont call this as a very good Raja yoga horoscope, for, I have seen much better charts. His wealth will of course be intact and will be inherited by his family.(D-4)
His life is midway of Madhyayu (madhyayu must give 70 plus years) – made so by the lagna lord occupying the 8th with mutual aspect with the 11th lord Mars while the 8th lord is in the 8th of 11th and in 6th from lagna.
Importantly moon is in 12th and the 8th from moon (itself) in 12th to lagna reduces a long life. Jupiter’s aspect to the 8th from Moon has granted him this much longevity.
His death came in Rahu dasa (Rahu in the constellation of Mercury and mercury is the maarak – death causing - from Moon) and Ketu Bhukti (Ketu in the constellation of Mars. Mars is the 12th lord from Moon)
From this let us now move on to the nature of his death.
Prasna Marga always proves to be a valuable guide in detecting the nature of death.
Prasna marga :- Chapter 11-16
“If Saturn is in association with Mars or the Sun in Aries, Scorpio or Leo, occupies agnibhuta with or aspected by Rahu or Gulika, the person will be burnt to death. If Saturn is associated with watery planets, death will be due to falling in boiling waters. If Saturn occupies jalabhuta or watery signs he will die by drowning.”
In YSR’s chart, Saturn is in Leo and occupies the cusp of Agnibhuta and Vayu bhuta at 43 minutes of the arc (when worked out as per Dr BV Raman’s explanation to Prasna marga). At 40 minutes of the arc of the 4th yama in Saturn’s Drekkana, agni bhuta ends and vayu bhuta begins.
That means the death has occurred in air (before the chopper reached the ground). The agni or fire element had entered just prior to the moment of death.
A further elaboration of why one should get such an end is explained in the 18th verse of that chapter.
Prasna marga :- Chapter 11-18
“If a weak and badly situated Saturn occupies a sign of Mars or has the association or aspect of Mars, death results from the troubles of evil spirits as Chamundi etc., if Mars and Gulika, he will be afflicted by an enemy’s abhichara, if by Sun and Gulika, the death will be due to the wrath of God Shiva.”
Saturn is in an inimical sign in the rasi which happens to be the sign of Leo lorded by Sun.
Mars aspects it from its own constellation.
It is probable that his family deity or the deity connected with his family in the past was Chamundi or a female Pratyadi devatha or an Ugra devatha.
In his new found interests in an alien religion, he has neglected that deity.
That has given its verdict.
When I look at his death time chart it gives further inputs.

Sun (
Sun has played the wreck in its own house which became the 8th house of death from Jupiter.
In the National perspective, Jupiter which is currently going in a Dharmic spree stood as Yama. From Prasna marga perspective, Sun capturing Saturn in its orb in Leo spells the wrath of Shiva.
The horoscope of YSR Reddy clearly shows a wrong done to an Ugra, female devatha and Shiva.
Jupiter’s current transit shows that there is some justice in the destiny of this nature.
People are angry about his dealings in Thirumala temple. The reactionary destiny for it will happen to him in a future birth. Whatever was done to belittle or destroy Sanatan dharma also will be paid in a future birth.
I may sound harsh but that is what astrology, the eye of the Veda Purusha reveals.
Every time I go through a chart like this, I understand the cry of Veda Vyas
and experience the same feeling…
