In the land of freebie culture where expecting, demanding and getting freebies has become the right the of common man, this auto driver stands out differently by offering to give a ride (to any place) for one rupee on the day of swearing in ceremony of Jayalalithaa, as a token gesture of gratitude for the one rupee idly offered by Amma canteens.

Amma canteen is not just a freebie but a welfare idea which was introduced by Jayalalithaa to tide over the sudden spurt in the prices of grains and eatables at that time. Though the Supreme Court had not found fault with the freebie offer due to the welfare angle to it, in Tamilnadu competitive politics has unnecessarily given a boost to it.

For example Kushboo did not find anything wrong with the election manifesto of the DMK offering mobile phone to everyone and did not doubt how much pressure it would put on the coffers, but found fault with it when AIADMK repeated that in its poll manifesto.

She even hyped the debate by saying that Jayalalithaa would cheat people by giving a low cost mobile! By instigating like this, she does not bother about the increased burden on the Govt treasury but wants to instigate the people to expect a costly mobile from the Government. Instead of making the debate a worthy one by questioning this freebie or making people be aware that Govt money need not go into this freebie, she is instigating the people to demand a costly one.

Similarly during the Chennai floods, what I could not understand was why the Govt should give compensation for all the people for the flood. It was a natural calamity and the Govt is entitled to provide alternate shelters for the affected people besides strengthening the infrastructure to withstand future floods. The exemplary salvaging measures of the Govt under Jayalalithaa, including seeking of help from the auto majors to do a free service of the vehicles drowned in the flood is of international standard.  

But the DMK spread a campaign of turning a natural calamity into a Jayalalithaa sponsored one in such a way that all and sundry started expecting a compensation from the Govt. To blunt the opposition campaign she had to offer Rs 5000 to everyone in the region that were flooded irrespective of whether the damage was worth that or not for the beneficiary. At that time, Vijaykanth raised the pitch for a compensation of Re 10,000 saying that 5000 is not enough for the people.

These politicians will talk anything, it is after all Jayalalaithaa’s headache – this is the tenor of this kind of competitive instigation for freebie culture. But in the end many people from high rise apartments too got the money though they did not have any impact of the flood in their apartments.

Another issue that is currently doing rounds in the Whatsapp is a campaign – presumably by the DMK people instigating people to ask for monthly payment of electricity charges in addition to the 100-unit free electricity announced yesterday by Jayalalithaa as per her poll manifesto. Originally the freebie in electricity bill was offered by the DMK. When it was in power it did not turn a stone to give electricity to the people. After Jayalalithaa took over 5 years, she brought back the EB from the losses and ensured uninterrupted electricity, the demand for which touched its peak as the 2^nd highest in the country last month.  

There is absolutely no need to offer a freebie in electricity besides the existing ones to farmers and the textile industry. But happy with the comfortable situation that Jayalalithaa had brought in the Electricity Board, the DMK made an offer of changing the billing to monthly basis in its manifesto. The first ill or evil will always come from the DMK. And the people also started talking about it. That made Jayalalithaa to offer a matching one to douse the DMK offer. She offered 100 units of free power to all homes and signed on that order upon assuming office yesterday.

This means loss to the EB but lesser than what it could do if the billing cycle is made monthly. Anyway billing rate in Tamilnadu is less compared to many other States. (Check here). EB needs more money to tide over ever increasing demands and for installing new capacity.  But all that is not an issue for the politicians, particularly the DMK. They have started a campaign since yesterday to demand monthly billing to get far better advantage from the 100 unit free electricity. For them, it is Jayalalithaa’s headache and therefore give her more headache and not bother about the economics behind such demands.

In this backdrop, this man, Mr Mathivanan of Coimbatore, an ordinary person leading a hand – to mouth existence from the income he gets by plying his auto, stands tall. He may be a fan of Jayalalithaa or a worker of the AIADMK party but it had occurred to him that he should do something to the people, to the society on being inspired by the idea of offering cheap food in Amma canteen.  Rather than expecting what you get from others (here Govt), he has stood up to the idea of what he can do to others.

On the day of swearing in ceremony of Jayalalithaa, he had taken 102 rides for one rupee rate in a span of 12 hours from 6 AM to 6PM without any break even for taking his food. It is certainly doubtful that he could have got 102 customers at other times. But if anything comes free, our people would be too ready to make use of it. If someone tries to emulate him in some way, that is the sign that our people are becoming better citizens.

I am happy that at least the Amma canteen concept had kindled one person’s moral sense of taking something for such a low cost without returning the same in some form.

They say fans come in all shapes and sizes, but it is their commitment that truly defines their devotion. This 61-year-old auto driver's devotion to the AIADMK turned out to be a boon to commuters looking to travel by auto.

To celebrate the swearing-in ceremony of AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa, he offered to ferry passengers to their destination for a token fare of `1. This was no small gesture, as he managed to service 102 passengers, all in a day's work, earning `102.

“I skipped breakfast and lunch. I took to the roads at 6am and finished work at 6pm. I am an ardent fan of Jayalalithaa and I am more than elated that she was sworn in as chief minister for the sixth time. I decided to celebrate by victory by servicing passengers for a token fare,“ said R M Mathivanan.

Mathivanan from Kaveri Nagar at SIHS Colony has been a party member since 1975. “I have been working as an auto driver for the past 41 years in Coimbatore city. I have been a member since the time of MGR. I am a great fan of our party chief Jayalalithaa. She has done so much good for the people of Tamil Nadu. It's no surprise that the people have voted for her again,“ he said.

As soon as Mathivanan heard that the AIADMK would be forming the new government, he began distributing sweets to bus passengers at SIHS colony.

“Our leader provides idly for just Rs1 at the Amma canteens across the state. Because of this, many poor people are able to eat breakfast. Since Amma has helped so many people, I decided to do my bit. I am not doing this for publicity . I earn `600 a day which is adequate to meet my daily needs,“ he said.

Why no Women's group questioned EVKS Elangovan for his vulgar remarks on Jayalalithaa?

A d(b)astardly speech by the TN Congress Chief EVKS Elangovan made some time ago was under reported / not reported at all by the Presstitudes of Tamilnadu. No one of stature except perhaps Vaiko condemned it. The only other leader of stature who disapproved of this speech was the BJP Chief, Tamilisai. 

The speech was so vulgar and directly mocking at the appearance of the Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. Anyone including Elangovan has every right to criticize the deeds and misdeeds of a person in the Chief Minister's chair. But to compare her with elephant, saying that she takes care of only elephants because they resemble her is highly uncivil and mean. On hearing this speech, a flash comes in my mind of what his grand father had said long ago. 

Elangovan 's grand father was none other than Periyar, the father of the Dravidian movement.  Periyar once called Tamil as "Kaattu mirandi" language (barbaric) and went on to substantiate it by saying that Tamil people abuse women, children  and others with vulgur words and expressions. By this he meant that both the language and the speaker of the abusive words and expressions are barbaric. By his standards, his own grandson, Elangovan is a perfect example of a barbarian and also barbaric speech. If Periyar is alive today will he call this grandson as a Barbarian or just dismiss it on the pretext that he is not a Tamil by origin? 

Whatever may be his reaction, the grandson has many a times exhibited his expertise in barbaric talks, chief among them being the current one that can be heard in the video below. 

The reason for this barbaric talk is not difficult to find. Karunanidhi was in the dais when Elangovan spoke this. If Karunanidhi is one who respects women and civility in talks, he must have stopped Elangovan or expressed his disapproval of it in his speech. He did neither. The reason is obvious.

In the history of the so-called Dravidian movement, abusing women or making vulgur comments on women or involving women is the basic of norm of speech. There is a book titled "DMK aapaasam" containing all the instances and vulgar utterances by DMK leaders including Annadurai and Karunanidhi. They would abuse anyone who do not come to their support. Even the common people of Tamilnadu have not been spared by them. 

As if not to lag behind Periyar in calling Tamils as Barbarians, Annadurai called Tamils as buffalos (erumai) in his book "Ariya maayai", Karunanidhi's famous term for Tamils must have been well known to many by now. It is "sORRaal adittha pindam" - a mass of food particles / pindam. 

Annadurai even compared his own party, the DMK with a young woman 'who is fetching water from the tap'. (kuzhaayadiyil thanneer edukkum paruvap peN pOnRathu thi.mu.ka. குழாயடியில் தண்ணீர் எடுக்கும் பருவப் பெண் போன்றது தி மு க ) Why this expression of 'young woman' (this is not an exact translation of the Tamil word used) and the hidden meaning behind it? We must note down the way they look at women and treat them as objects of pleasure. Even today, this mentality is there in the DMK supporters as one can see many comments in online magazines using vulgar language on women particularly against Jayalalithaa. 

These are the people who abused Gandhi as being surrounded by women (Annadurau spoke so). The Congress party has forgotten that. 

Asai thambi of DMK questioned the birth of Jesus and branded churches as brothel houses ("Thi mu ka aapaasam" page no 15). 

In a public meeting in Kotthavaal chavadi in 1953, Annadurai also vociferously attacked the idea of Virgin Mary having given birth to Christ.  Perhaps the Christians of today had never known this.   

Anbazhagan wrote obscene ideas in his book "Seethaiyin Kaathal" on Ramayana. 

The novels and screen plays written by DMK people including Annadurai and Karunanidhi contain several vulgar and immoral expressions - all of them demeaning women. One of Annadurai's story contain siblings having sexual relationship. Karunanidhi's characters are such that father married his own daughter. There is no dearth of vulgarity in expression, justification of immoral sex and obscene description and characterization especially of women characters in Karunanidhi's stories. 

The result is that their supporters also have developed a taste for such things and use them in their talks. This has come down for all these decades. One could have noticed the claps for Elangovan's talk on Jayalalithaa in the video above. And Elangovan has evolved on par with these DMK leaders either due to his DNA or friendship. 

Now my question is why this open abuse of a woman by Elagovan not taken up by any women's rights groups? Why not take him to task for personally commenting on her? Is this the way the State Chief of an all India party headed by a woman must behave? What action did Sonia Gandhi take against him? Atleast did she reprimand him for his talks? Let Jayalalithaa be her political rival, but shouldn't Sonia or Rahul come out to clear their stance on a comment such as this on a woman? 

Elangovan has not only abused Jayalalithaa but also devalued the care given to the elephants. So this speech can also be questioned by animal welfare groups. 

Finally TN Congress or DMK, they both are of the same genre in thought, word and action (aka corruption). They are inseparable in immoral and vulgur talks. They have developed a supporter base which can only contain those who practice and promote immoral ways and treat women with scant respect. It is not exaggeration to say that Jayalalithaa has borne the maximum brunt of the evil ways and talks of the DMK and Karunanidhi. 

Paid news by TOI on Sasikalaa?

On the day the DA case of Jayalalithaa was being argued in the Supreme Court by Sasikalaa’s lawyers rejecting the notion of Sasikalaa as a power centre, Times of India, Chennai edition carried a huge headline saying that Sasikalaa had a hand in the change of candidates in the upcoming elections. 

While the headline screams “Sasikalaa’s stamp on changes in AIADMK’s list of candidates”, the article does not contain any information linking Sasikalaa to the changes that Jayalalithaa has made in the candidate list. No source or authenticity was quoted in the article to indicate Sasikalaa’s complicity in this matter. Instead it has been said throughout in the article that the changes have been effected based on the winnability of the candidates and the inputs received from the surveys and intelligence reports. That means even if Sasikalaa had wanted her men to be given seats, their winnability and popularity only had decided their inclusion in the list.

Such being the case, why this mischievous title was given by the News network of TOI? Why passing on specific notions as news and pushing them in the title by the News desk of TOI?  If this news appears under some writer’s name, we will think that it is the writer’s wish to project such a notion. But when the news appears in the name of TOI news network, then it smacks of some hidden agenda or motive. Or is this a case of paid news by the TOI?

The title on Sasikalaa appearing at a time when the case is being heard about her complicity in DA case raises the question whether TOI is upto creating opinions in somebody’s mind. (If I mention who that somebody is, I may be accused of abuse of a constitutional authority). Only a DMK support- magazine can make such headlines without substance to support.

I would accuse that this is paid news, for, in the same newspaper a more important news of the day was not given the place that is due to it. Kanimozhi, Karunanidhi’s daughter had made an important statement that all the liquor manufacturing units run by the DMK men would be closed if DMK comes to power. This news appears as a small box item on the 10^th page.

This was not told by some DMK man, but by the daughter of the DMK patriarch who is a contender to the post of a future successor to Karunanidhi. Kanimozhi have even said that once coming to power they would not even divert the liquor sales to other States. It would be a complete closure. Kanimozhi has said that this was told by Karunanidhi himself.

Is this not a newsworthy statement? This statement by none other than Kanimozhi raises the counter question why not close down the liquor units NOW itself. If the DMK is serious about prohibition, why wait till it comes to power? It should close the manufacturing units now itself. Why TOI failed to give a prominent slot to this news item in its newspaper?

This statement by Kanimozhi spelling out DMK’s stance is worthy to be the headline in the front page but it also would attract a political storm. But by pushing it to a small box-news, TOI stands suspect in the eyes of the reader that it has tried to reduce the brickbats to the DMK generated by this statement. Why should it do this unless TOI had been taken care of well by the DMK. One can recall the meet with the media that Stalin had at the end of his “Namakku Naame” programme. Public has no idea of who attended that meet. But the news carried by the magazines, now including the TOI shows who attended it and what happened behind the screens.

Earlier TOI carried a news item (a few months ago) on the powerful / power wielding sons of politicians. Almost every politician in TN has a son or a son in law who is doing the controlling act from behind the politician. Sabareesan, the son in law of Stalin is a well known name in this segment. Only Jayalalithaa is left out in this area. As if to make up for it the TOI article / news item showed Jayalalithaa’s picture and a ‘son’ who is the son of the Ilavarasi. Has at any time until now, this son of Ilavarasi made his name or face or clout anywhere felt? But the news item said that he is the foster son of Jayalalithaa but could not pinpoint any instance of a role for him in the party or anywhere. But then why drag Jayalalithaa’s photo and that guy’s photo in that article? Is it to satisfy some pay masters and to say that TOI does a ‘level playing’ game with all parties, even if there is none to point out on Jayalalithaa in that segment?

This makes me think that TOI is going The Hindu way. The Hindu which was once called as Mount Road Mahavishnu by Karunanidhi is now known among readers as Mount Road Murasoli! (Murasoli is the official news paper of DMK). Not many believe or care about the articles and opinions published in The Hindu. It is now on par with many local Tamil dailies and magazines like Nakkeeran and Vikatan which are the mouth pieces of the DMK. No wonder the reader base of The Hindu is eroding day by day. The TOI is also going to go on that direction.

Party Drops 8 Candidates, Replaces 3

AIADMK leader J Jayalalithaa's associate Sasikalaa appears to be making her presence felt as the AIADMK list of candidates for the assembly election goes through a review. On Monday, the party chief made yet another change in her list, dropping eight candidates and replacing three with ministers, who had been left out in the original list of 227 released on April 4.

So far, Jayalalithaa has changed 21 candidates. Sources said several factors influenced the AIADMK leader's decision, including Sasikalaa's insistence that some of her supporters, sitting MLAs, be retained, besides intelligence inputs about candidates' image, credibility and petitions from cadres.

Jayalalithaa has chosen to bring back three ministers, who did not figure in the initial list, to take on heavyweights from other parties.

While higher education minister P Palaniappan has been fielded in Pappireddipatti in Dharmapuri district, where he had contested and won in 2011,

minister for rural industries and milk P Mohan will contest in his home constituency of Sankarapuram in Cuddalore district. It was found that A S A Rajasekar, who was replaced by Mohan, was not so popular.

Tourism minister S P Shanmughanathan will contest again from Srivaikuntam in Tuticorin district.

Party leaders whisper about surveys conducted by the leadership to assess how voters are receiving their candidates.

It was found that G S Kuppusamy , who was fielded earlier in Pappirediipatti had poor prospects. “The feedback Amma got was that Kuppusamy was sure to lose,“ said a party functionary on condition of anonymity . The “survey“ apparently also indicated that Palaniappan would win if he was fielded.

Jayalalithaa has clearly accorded priority to ensuring that candidates with a clean image are fielded as corruption is emerging as a key plank.

Jayalalithaa had fielded Tamilarasi, the party's women's wing secretary , to take on DMK veteran K N Nehru in Trichy West. Later a decision was taken to replace her with Trichy district secretary R Manoharan and to move her to Trichy East. The decision to replace her kicked up a furore among her supporters, who picketed the entrance of the Rock Fort Temple when Natarajan and his men had gone to pray .

Subsequently, the leadership has replaced Tamilarasi with Vellamandi N Natarajan in Trichy East. In the process, Tamilarasi has now ended up losing her post as councillor in Trichy corporation as well. She had tendered her resignation from the post after announcement of her candidature.

The following is the article written by Sri A.M.Rajagopalan (AMR) in Tamil in Kumdam Jothidam on the kind of distortions and denigrations that M.Karunanidhi is infusing in his dialogues for the TV serial on Acharya Ramanuja. I don’t watch that serial and I believe no believer and follower of Acharya Ramanuja would be interested in seeing that serial.

Anyone can speak well about God or the Acharya purushas, but for people to listen to him or her, that person must have fulfilled certain qualifications. For this, the clues and authority come from the verses of Azhwars who are the pillars of Tamil Vedas that always look at the Luminous One in the way “tad viShNO  paramam padam, sada pashyanthi sUrayaha”.  From the verses that I know of Azhwars and recite almost every day, I can see 2 lines of thought on who is eligible to even utter “Namo Narayanaya Namaha”. One is from Periyazhwar and the other from Thirumangai Azhwar.

Periyazhwar.

Karunanidhi – who mouthed the infamous dialogue on Lord Rama asking in which Engineering college Rama studied stands disqualified at the very outset to even utter the name of the Lord. In the very 2^nd verse of Pallandu songs, Peryazhwar wants only those who have not abused Rama for 21 generations to sing in praise of Him (Vishnu).

Moreover Karunanidhi, as cautioned by Periyazhwar belongs to the group that speaks about the Lord for “food” or sustenance. Karunanidhi hit upon the idea to write on Acharya Ramanuja only when he realized that the ‘Pandaaram” party (BJP) cannot be dispensed with and that it has some support among people of Tamilnadu. A serial like this would help him to tell people that he is not anti- Hindu. At the time of starting to write this serial, it even looked as though he was clearing the decks of anti-Hindu tag, so that it won’t be difficult to align with the BJP if at all a chance arises in future.

According to Periyazhwar, the person who wishes to join the group that sings “Pallandu” to God (Long live God) must have made himself subservient to God and not have abused God for 21 generations. The ideal person to enter the group is one who enters even before he / she has learnt to basic alphabets (Yedu nilathil iduvathan munnam vanthu) (ஏடு நிலத்தில் இடுவதன் முன்னம் வந்து எங்கள் குழாம் புகுந்து).  Only such people can even utter “Namo Narayana”. 

There is another category of people. They would not have known about God. They would have led a very despicable life of causing harm to others. They could have been robbers. But even then, if they had repented for what they had been all along and wanted to change by worshiping God, then they are very much welcome to sing “Namo Narayana”. Thirumangai Azhwar discovered the pleasure and utility of uttering this name after having lived as a robber and reformed later. His famous verses starting as “Vaadineen, vaadi varinthinen”( வாடினேன் வாடி வருந்தினேன்)  show that repentance comes first in leading the person to understand the glory of God. Karunanidhi has no thought of repentance for what he had done in misleading generations of people.

Thirumangai Azhwar

When such a person writes the life history of Acharya, we can only recall Madhura Kavi Azhwar’s words on Nammazhwar – “Payanandraagilum, paangallar aagilum, seyal nandraaga, thirutthip paNi koLvaan” (பயனன்றாகிலும் பாங்கல்லராகிலும் செயல் நன்றாக திருத்திப் பணி கொள்வான்). Acharya is one who would reform those who are useless and deficient. We can only think that Acharya Ramanuja would someday make Karunanidhi a reformed person.

But until now there is no sign of it – as we can make out from the mean-minded depictions in the serial.

ஸ்ரீமத் மகாபாரதத்தையும், ஸ்ரீமத் பாகவதத்தையும் மகரிஷி வியாசரால்தான் எழுத முடியும். இதிகாச ரத்தினம் எனப் பூஜிக்கப்படும் ஸ்ரீமத் ராமாயணத்தை வால்மீகி மகரிஷியினால் மட்டும்தான் எழுத முடியும். திருக்குறளை வள்ளுவப் பெருமானால் மட்டும்தான் வடித்திருக்க முடியும். பிரபல அரசியல் தலைவர் ஒருவர் எழுதும் ஸ்ரீமத் ராமானுஜரின் சரித்திரம், தனியார் தொலைக்காட்சி ஒன்றில் தொடர் ஒளிபரப்பாக ஒளிபரப்பப்போவதாக விளம்பரம் செய்து வந்த போதிலிருந்தே, அது எப்படி இருக்கும் என்பதை ஊகித்துப் பார்க்க முடிந்தது.

இந்து மதத்தின் மீதும், ஸ்ரீ ராமபிரான் மீதும் காலம் காலமாக துவேஷத்தையே விஷமாகப் பரப்பி வருபவரும், தீவிர நாத்திகக் கொள்கைகளைக் கடைப்பிடித்து வருபவருமான இந்த அரசியல் தலைவர், ஏன் அவதார புருஷரும், வைணவ சம்பிரதாயத்தின் உயிர்மூச்சாக விளங்குபவருமான ஸ்ரீமத் ராமானுஜரைப் பற்றி எழுத முன்வந்திருக்கிறார் எனப் பலரும் ஆச்சரியப்படுகின்றனர்.

நாத்திகம் என்ற விஷ விதையை புனிதமான தமிழ் மண்ணில் விதைத்து , காழ்ப்புணர்ச்சி என்னும் தண்ணீரைப் பாய்ச்சி அதனை விஷவிருட்சமாக வளர்த்து, அதன் மூலம் தன்னையும், தங்கள் குடும்பத்தையும் வளர்த்துக் கொண்டிருப்புவர்களுக்கு ஸ்ரீமத் ராமானுஜரைப் போன்ற அவதார புருஷர்களைப் பற்றி எழுதுவதற்கு என்ன தகுதியுள்ளது ?  மகாபுருஷரான ஸ்ரீமத் ராமானுஜரின் ஆயிரம் ஆண்டு நிறைவு விழாவை உலகம் கொண்டாட இருக்கும் இத்தருணத்தில், இந்த அரசியல் தலைவர் தனது கொள்கைகளுக்கு முற்றிலும் மாறான ஒரு மகானைப்பற்றி எழுதி, அதனை தொலைக்காட்சி மூலம் ஒளிபரப்ப முன்வந்திருப்பதின் நோக்கத்தைப் புரிந்து கொள்வது அப்படி ஒன்றும் கடினமானது அல்ல.

ஸ்ரீமத் ராமானுஜரின் வாழ்க்கைச் சரித்திரத்தை தனது கொள்கைகளுக்கு ஏற்றவாறு மாற்றி அமைத்து, அதனைத் தனது கட்டுப்பாட்டில் உள்ள தொலைக்காட்சி மூலம் பிரசாரப்படுத்துவதே இத்தொடர் ஒளிபரப்பின் நோக்கம் என்பது அனைவருக்கும் தெரியும்.

30-06-2015 அன்றைய இரவு தொலைக்காட்சியில்…

நாத்திகக் கொள்கைகளிலேயே தன் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதையும் கழித்தவர்கள் எழுதினால் இத்தகைய புனிதமான புண்ணிய சரித்திரங்கள் எவ்விதம் மக்களிடையே திரித்துப் பிரசாரப்படுத்தப்படும் என்பதை தெரிந்து கொள்ள, 30-06-2015 செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை அன்று இரவு அந்த தனியார் தொலைக்காட்சியில் ஸ்ரீமத் ராமானுஜர் தொடர் ஒளிபரப்பில் காண்பிக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு நிகழ்ச்சி ஒன்றே போதும்,
நெற்றியில் ‘பளிச்’சென்று திருநாமம் இட்டுக்கொண்டுள்ள, குடுமி வைத்த ஒரு ஸ்ரீவைணவ இளைஞர், அழகான ஒரு இளம்பெண்ணை பார்த்து பல்லைக் காட்டுவதும், அவளைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து செல்வது போன்றும் அக்காட்சி காட்டப்பட்டது. அந்த இளம்பெண் சற்று தூரத்திற்கு சென்று விட்டார்.

ஆனால், அப்பெண் தனக்கு பக்கத்தில் இருப்பதாக நினைத்த அந்த வைணவ இளைஞர் தன் அருகில் இருந்த மூதாட்டி ஒருவரைக் கட்டி அணைத்து, கொஞ்சுவதாகக் காட்சி அமைந்திருந்தது. அதனால் வெகுண்ட அந்த மூதாட்டி அந்த வைணவ இளைஞரை நையப் புடைக்கிறார். அந்த மூதாட்டியுடன் அங்கு அருகிலிருந்த வேறு சில பெண்மணிகளும் சேர்ந்து கொண்டு அந்த வைணவ இளைஞரை செம்மையாக அடிப்பதாக அக்காட்சி அமைந்திருந்தது.

இதுபோன்றே, தாகத்தினால் வருந்திய திருக்கச்சி நம்பிகளுக்கு தாகம் தணிய தண்ணீர் கொடுக்க ஸ்ரீமத் ராமானுஜரின் தாயார் மறுப்பதுபோல் ஒரு காட்சியும் காட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது.

ஸ்ரீமத் ராமானுஜர் எனும் ஒரு மகத்தான அவதாரபுருஷரைத் தன் வயிற்றில் சுமந்து பெற்ற ஓர் தெய்வீக அன்னை, இந்த அளவிற்கு நெஞ்சில் ஈரமற்றவராக இருந்திருக்க முடியாது. இது பிற்காலத்தில் தங்கள் சுயநலத்திற்காக சிலரால் சேர்க்கப்பட்ட கட்டுக்கதையாகத்தானிருக்க முடியும். அவதார புருஷர்கள் அன்பு, பக்தி ஆகியவற்றினால் உயர்ந்த உத்தம ஸ்திரீகளின் கர்ப்பத்தில்தான் அவதரிப்பார்கள். ஸ்ரீமத் ராமானுஜர் ஸ்ரீராமபிரானின் தம்பியான ஸ்ரீ லட்சுமண சுவாமியின் அவதாரமென கோடான கோடி மக்களால் பூஜிக்கப்படும் அவதார புருஷர். ஸ்ரீ ராமபிரானையே கேவலமாகத் தூற்றிய இந்த அரசியல் தலைவர் எழுதும் கதை வேறு எவ்விதம் இருக்க முடியும்?

13-07-2015 அன்று…!

இவை போன்றே, 13-07-2015 அன்றைய ஒளிபரப்பில், சிறுவன் ஸ்ரீமத் ராமானுஜருக்கு உபநயனம் (பூணூல் போடுவது) வைபவத்தை வைத்து, மக்களிடையே துவேஷத்தைத் தூண்டிவிடும், விஷமத்தனமான, முற்றிலும் ஆதாரமற்ற ஒரு காட்சி காட்டப்பட்டது. மற்ற குழந்தைகளுடன் சமமாக விளையாடுவதற்கு பூணூல் தடையாக இருப்பதாக சிறுவன் ஸ்ரீமத் ராமானுஜரே கூறுவது போன்று காட்சி அமைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. இந்நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு எவ்வித ஆதாரமும் கிடையாது. இது முற்றிலும் கற்பனையானதே!

இதன் நோக்கம் என்ன என்பதை மக்கள் எளிதில் புரிந்து கொள்வார்கள். இந்து சமுதாயத்தை கேவலப்படுத்துவதும், விரசமான காட்சிகளை பரம பவித்ரமான ஸ்ரீமத் ராமானுஜரின் திவ்ய சரித்திரத்தில் காண்பிப்பதும், எத்தகைய கேவலமான செயல் என்பதை, இந்த வயோதிக காலத்திலும் கூட இந்த அரசியல் தலைவர் புரிந்து கொள்ளவில்லையே!  நல்ல திறமையும், தமிழ்மொழியில் பாண்டித்யமும் பெற்ற இவர், நம் நாட்டிருக்கும், குறிப்பாக தமிழகத்திற்கும், தமிழ் மக்களுக்கும் நன்மை செய்வதற்காகத் தனது திறமைகளை நன்கு பயன்படுத்திக் கொண்டிருக்கலாம். திறமைகள் இருப்பினும், மனம் நல்ல வழியில் செல்வதற்கு இறைவனின் கருணை வேண்டும் அல்லவா? அந்தக் கருணையைப் பெறுவதற்கும் புண்ணியம் செய்திருக்க வேண்டும்.

சினிமா கதையல்ல ஸ்ரீமத் ராமானுஜரின் புண்ணிய சரித்திரம். மகாத்மாவும், தன் வாழ்க்கை முழுவதையும் வைணவத்திற்காகவே அர்ப்பணித்தவரும், தியாகசீலருமான ஸ்ரீமத் ராமானுஜரின் திவ்ய சரித்திரத்தில் தனது சொந்தக் கருத்துக்களையும், அரசியல் கொள்கைகளையும் புகுத்துவது மன்னிக்கமுடியாத குற்றமாகும். நீதிமன்றங்களாவது, சமூகத்தின் நன்மை கருதி இது விஷயத்தில் தலையிடுமா?
