47. கங்கையும், ராமர் சேதுவும்.

குமரிக் கண்டம் எனப்படும் தென்னன் தேசங்கள்

தமிழனது தொன்மையை 10,000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேல் காட்டுகிறது

என்பதைக் கடந்த சில கட்டுரைகள் மூலம்    தெரிந்து கொண்டோம்.

தமிழ் மக்கள் ஒவ்வொரு ஊழியின் போதும்

கடல் கோளிலிருந்து தப்பி வேறு இடங்களுக்கு இடம் பெயர்ந்திருக்கின்றனர்.

3500 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் நடந்த 3- ஆம் ஊழியின் போது

தற்போதைய தமிழ் நாட்டுக்குப் பெயர்ந்திருக்கின்றனர்.

ஆனால் ஸ்ரீமத்  பாகவதம் சொல்வதைப்போல (பகுதி 38)

திராவிட நாட்டுப் பகுதியிலிருந்து வெள்ளத்திலிருந்து தப்பி

வடக்குக்குக் குடி பெயர்ந்தார்கள் என்று ஓரிடத்திலும் சொல்லப்படவில்லை.

இதிலிருந்து தமிழ் நாட்டு மக்கள்

வட இந்தியாவுக்கோ,

சிந்து சமவெளிப் பகுதிக்கோ இடம் பெயரவில்லை என்பது தெளிவாகிறது.

அவர்கள் 'சிவனே' என்று,

தென்னாட்டுடைய சிவனைப் பணிந்து

தென்னன் தேசங்களில்தான் இருந்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

முதல் ஊழியின்போது பாதிப்பு அதிகம் இல்லாமல்,

தென் மதுரையிலேயே தொடர்ந்திருக்கிறார்கள் (12,000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்).

2-ஆம் ஊழியின் போது, கபாடபுரம் வந்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

இதுவும் இந்தியாவின் தென் பகுதியில்தான் இருந்திருக்கிறது.(8000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்)

3-ஆம் ஊழியின் போது, தற்போதைய மதுரைக்குக் குடி பெயர்ந்திருக்கிறார்கள். (3500 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்)

3- ஆம் ஊழியும், மாக்ஸ் முல்லர் போன்றவர்கள் சொன்ன

ஆரியப் படையெடுப்பும் ஒரே காலக்கட்டமான 3500 ஆண்டுகள்.

அந்த சமயம் தென் கடலில் கடல் நாசத்தை அனுபவித்து,

தென்தமிழ் நாட்டுக்கு வந்தார்கள் தமிழர்கள் என்பது சங்கத் தமிழ் தரும் செய்தி.

அப்படி இருக்க,

அதே காலக் கட்டத்தில் சிந்து சமவெளிப் பகுதியில் தமிழர் இருந்தனர் என்பதும்

அவர்கள் ஆரியர்களுடன் போரிட்டு,

தோற்று தமிழகப் பகுதிகளுக்கு வந்தனர் என்பதும் எப்படி நடக்க முடியும்? 

தமிழர்களது பூர்வீகத்தைப் பற்றி எதுவுமே அறிந்து கொள்ளாத ஐரோப்பியர்

தங்கள் காலனி ஆதிக்கத்துக்கு உறுதுணையாக உருவாக்கியக் கருத்து அது,

அதைத் தமிழன் எப்படி ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளலாம்?

அதை வைத்து ஒரு நூற்றாண்டு காலமும் அரசியல் செய்து வருகிறார்களே,

இவர்கள் தமிழ்த் துரோகிகள் அல்லவா?

ஆதிக்கம் செய்ய வந்தவன் தனக்கு வேண்டியதை வேண்டிய மாதிரி பேசுவான்.

தமிழ் நூல்களைக் கரைத்துக் குடித்தவர்கள் என்று சொல்லிக் கொள்ளும் இவர்களுக்கு

எங்கே போயிற்று புத்தி?

தமிழ் நூல்களைப் படித்தும் தமிழர் சரித்திரத்தைத் தெரிந்து கொள்ளவில்லையா?

அல்லது தமிழ் நூல்களைப் படித்தாற்போல பாவனை காட்டுகிறார்களா?

தமிழ் நூல்களில் வரும் மற்றொரு முக்கிய செய்தி ராமர் சேது பாலத்தைப் பற்றியது.

சேது பாலம் கட்டப்பட்டது என்று தெரிவிக்கும் தமிழ்ப் பகுதிகளை நான் இங்கு தரவில்லை.

(தனிக் கட்டுரையாக தருகிறேன்)

இங்கு தமிழன் தொன்று தொட்டு,

தென் நிலங்களில்தான் இருந்திருக்கிறான் என்பதை மேலும் நிரூபிப்பதற்கும்,

ஸ்ரீமத் பாகவதம் சொல்லும் கடல் கோளில் தப்பி

திராவிட நாட்டிலிருந்து வட இந்தியப் பகுதிக்குச் சென்ற மக்கள் யார்

என்று தெரிந்து கொள்வதற்கும்,

ராமர் சேதுவைப் பற்றியும்,

கங்கை தோன்றின விவரங்களையும் நாம் தெரிந்து கொள்ள அவசியம் இருக்கிறது.

இன்றைக்கு 12,000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் முதல் சங்கம் ஆரம்பித்திருக்கிறது.

அதை ஆரம்பித்தவர் இறையானார்.

சிவ பெருமானே பாண்டிய குலத்தின் மன்னாகி

தமிழை வளர்த்திருக்கிறார்.

அந்தப் பாண்டிய குலத்தில் உமையம்மையே தடாதகைப் பிராட்டி

என்னும் மகளாகப் பிறந்து மீனாட்சி அம்மை என்று அழைக்கப்பட்டாள்.

திராவிடவாதிகளது நாத்திகப் பேச்சில் மயங்கும் தமிழர்கள் இதெல்லாம் கற்பனைக் கதை என்பார்கள்.

ஆனால் அவர்கள் தலைவர் கண்ணகிக்குக் கொடி தூக்கும் போது ஆனந்தமாக ஆமோதிப்பர்.

அந்தக் கண்ணகி யார்?

சேரன் செங்குட்டுவன் கண்ணகிக்குக் கோவில் எழுப்பிய போது,

தெய்வமாக இருந்த அவள், தான் பாண்டியன் மகளாக அவதரித்த மீனாட்சி அம்மை என்கிறாள்.

சிலப்பதிகாரம் வாழ்த்துக் காதையில்,

ஆராயாமல் கோவலனுக்குத் தண்டனை அளித்த

'தென்னவன் தீதிலன்' – அதாவது பாண்டியன் நெடுஞ்செழியன் குற்றமற்றவன் என்றும்,

தானே பாண்டியனுக்கு மகளாகப் பிறந்த மீனாட்சி என்றும்,

தானே கண்ணகியாகக் கோவில் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன் என்றும் சொல்கிறாள்.

1800 ஆண்டுகள் முன் வரையில்,

தென்னன் பெருமையும்,

அவன் குடியில் மீனாட்சி பிறந்ததும்,

அவளை சிவ பெருமானே மணந்ததும்,

அவரே பாண்டியர்களுக்கு வழிகாட்டியாக இருந்ததும்

சர்வ சாதாரணமாக ஒத்துக் கொள்ளப்பட்ட வரலாறாகும்.

இதில் உண்மையில்லை என்றால்

அத்தனை ஆயிரம் காலம் அந்தக் கதை மக்களிடையே புழங்கி இருக்காது.

இதில் உண்மையில்லை என்றால்சங்கம் வளர்த்தார்கள் என்பதும் பொய் என்றாகிவிடும்.

சங்க நூல்கள் என்பதும் பொய் ஆகி விடும்.

அந்தத் தென்னன் வளர்த்த மொழி தமிழாகும்.

அதைப் பேசிய தமிழன் தென்புலத்திலிருந்துதான் வந்தான் என்று

மேலும் உறுதி செய்யும் இந்தத் தொடரில்

வேறு சில முக்கிய குறிப்புகளை ஆராய வேண்டியிருக்கிறது.

அதில் ஒன்று கங்கை நதியாகும்.

பனியுகம் நடந்து கொண்டிருந்தபோது கங்கை ஓடவில்லை.

ராமனது முன்னோனான பாகிரதன் காலத்தில்தான் கங்கை பூமியில் ஓட ஆரம்பித்தது.

மீனாட்சி அம்மையின் தாயாரான காஞ்சன மாலை

அந்தக் கங்கைக்குத் தீர்த்த யாத்திரை செல்ல விரும்பினாள்,

என்கிறது திருவிளையாடல் புராணம்.

(அவள் இருந்த இடம் தென் மதுரை என்பது நினைவிருக்கட்டும்.)

அதாவது முதல் சங்கம் ஆரம்பித்த காலமான 12,000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்

கங்கை ஆறு வட இந்தியாவில்ஒரு புண்ணிய நதியாக ஓடிக் கொண்டிருந்தது.

ஆரியப் பண்பாட்டில் முக்கிய அங்கம் வகிக்கும் கங்கை

12,000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பே

ஒரு புண்ணீய யாத்திரை ஸ்தலமாக இருந்திருக்கிறது என்றால்,

மாக்ஸ் முல்லர் போன்றவர்கள் சொல்லும் ஆரியப் படையெடுப்பு அர்த்தமற்றதாகி விடுகிறது.

சிவனுடன் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட கங்கை போன்ற புண்ணிய தீர்த்தங்களுக்குப் போய் வருமாறு

காஞ்சன மாலையிடம் கோதம முனிவர் சொல்கிறார் (தி–பு 884).

ஆனால் கங்கை எங்கோ தொலைவில் இருக்கவே,

தன் மாமியார் அலைய வேண்டாம் என்று

எல்லாப் புண்ணிய தீர்த்தங்களையும் தென் மதுரையிலேயே கொண்டு வருகிறார் சிவ பெருமான்.

தென்மதுரை என்பது நாம் முன்னம் காட்டினாற்போல எங்கோ தெற்கில் இருந்தால்தான்,

இமய மலைக்கு அருகில் உள்ள கங்கைக்குச் செல்வது என்பது நெடுந்தூரப் பயணமாக இருந்திருக்கிறது.

இந்த கங்கை உண்டான காலம் தெரிந்தால்,

எந்தக் காலக் கட்டத்தில் திராவிடப் பகுதியிலிருந்து மக்கள் வடக்குக்குக் குடி பெயர்ந்தனர் என்று கண்டு பிடிக்க முடியும்.

ஏனெனில் அப்பொழுது குடி பெயர்ந்தவன் மனு ஆவான்.

அவனது வம்சத்தில் வந்தவன் இக்ஷ்வாகு.

அவனுடைய வம்சத்தில் வந்த பாகீரதன்.

அந்த பாகீரதனே இமய மலையிலிருந்து கங்கையைக் கொண்டு வருகிறான்.

கங்கோத்திரி என்னும் பனிக் கருவிலிருந்து கங்கை உண்டாகிறது. 

                 கங்கோத்திரி இருக்கும் மலை

பனியுகம் உச்சம் அடைந்த காலமான 20,000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்

இமயமலையிலும் பனிப் போர்வை அதிகரித்தது.

கங்கையின் உற்பத்தியைப் பற்றிச் சொல்லும் ராமாயணம் தரும் விவரங்கள்

கங்கோத்திரி என்னும் பனிக் கரு உயரமாக வளர்ந்ததைக் கதை ரூபமாகத் தருகிறது.

(வால்மீகி ராமாயணம் – 1- 35 முதல் 43 வரை)

இமயமலையை இமவான் என்னும் அரசனாகச்  சித்தரிக்கிறது.

அவனுக்கு இரண்டு மகள்கள்.

அவர்களுள் மூத்தவள் கங்கை, இளையவள் உமை.

மூத்தவளான கங்கை மேலுலகத்துக்கு வர வேண்டும்

என்று மேலுலகவாசிகள் கேட்டுக் கொள்ளவே

அவள் மேலுலகம் நோக்கிச் சென்றாள்.

பனியுகத்தின் போது மேலும் மேலும் கங்கோத்திரி என்னும் பனிக் கரு வளர்ந்ததை இது குறிக்கிறது.

மேல் நோக்கி வளரவே,

மேலுலகம் என்று பொருள் படும் தேவ லோகம் என்று பொருள் படுகிறது.

அதனால் அந்த நிலையில் கங்கைக்கு 'தேவ கங்கை' என்று பெயர்.

கங்கையின் தங்கையான உமை, சிவனைக் கணவனாக அடையத் தவம் இருந்தாள்.

இதன் மூலம், கங்கோத்திரி போலவே மற்றுமொரு பனிக் கருவும் இமயமலையில் இருந்தது என்று தெரிகிறது.

அவள் சிவனுடன் கூடும் நேரத்தில்,

அந்தச் சேர்க்கையால் உண்டாகும் குழந்தையை உலகத்தால் தாங்க இயலாது

என்று ரிஷிகள் தடுத்து விடுகின்றனர்.

அதை சிவனும் ஏற்றுக் கொள்கிறான்.

இதனால் கோபமுற்ற உமை உலகுக்குக் குழந்தை பிறக்கக்கூடாது என்று சாபமிடுகிறாள்.

இந்தக் கதை இயற்க்கையில் நடந்ததை எடுத்துக் காட்டுகிறது.

பனியுகத்தின் போது இமயமலையில் உண்டான

ஒரு பனிக் கருவை உமை என்று உருவகப்படுத்தி இருக்கிறார்கள்.

அவளுக்கும், சிவனுக்கும் ஏற்ப்ட்ட சேர்க்கையால் பிறக்கும் பிள்ளை நதியாகும்.

சிவன் வெப்பத்துக்குப் பெயர் போனவன்.

பனி யுகம் முடிந்து இமய மலையில் வெப்பம் பரவும் போது,

பனிக் கரு உடைந்து, ஆறாகப் பெருக்கெடுக்கும்.

அப்படி நடக்க இருந்த ஒரு சாத்தியம் நடக்காமல் போனது என்பதை இந்தக் கதை காட்டுகிறது.

அதாவது உமை என்னும் பனிக் கரு உருகுவதற்கு ஏற்றவாறு அவள் உண்டான பகுதியில் வெப்பம் இல்லை.

இந்தப் பகுதி காஷ்மீரத்தில் இருக்கும் அமர்நாத் மலையாக இருக்கலாம். 

காஷ்மீரத்தில் அமர்நாத் மலை இருக்குமிடம் புள்ளியாக இந்தப் படத்தில்

அந்த இடத்தைப் பருப்பதம் என்று என்று தமிழில் வழங்கி இருக்கிறார்கள்.

அங்குள்ள குகையில் பனி லிங்கம் வளருவதும், பிறகு குறைவதும்

இந்தக் கதையுடன் ஒத்துப் போகிறது.

வால்மீகி ராமாயணத்தில் விஸ்வாமித்திரர் விவரிக்கும் இந்தக் கதையில்

அடுத்து நடந்த சம்பவங்களைப் பார்ப்போம்.

சிவனது வீரியம் வீணாகக் கூடாது என்று

அந்த வீரியத்தை அக்கினி பகவான் எடுத்துக் கொள்கிறான்.

அப்படி எடுத்துக் கொண்ட அக்கினி பகவான்,

உமையின் அக்காவான கங்கையை அடைந்து

அவள் மீது பரவச் செய்கிறான்.

இந்த வர்ணனை மிகத் தெளிவாக கங்கோத்திரி வெப்பம் அடைந்தைக் காட்டுகிறது.

அதாவது பனியுக முடிவில்

முதலில் ஒரு பெரும் ஆறு

அமர்நாத் பகுதியில் உருவாக சாத்தியம் இருந்தது.

ஆனால் அது நடக்கவில்லை.

மாறாக அந்தப் பனிக் கருவுக்கும் பழமையான கங்கோத்திரி இருக்கும் பகுதியில்

வெப்பம் பரவ ஆரம்பித்திருக்கிறது.

அதன் காரணமாக கங்கோத்திரியின் பனிக்கரு உடைந்தது.

அதில் வெளிப்படும் ஆற்று நீர் மிகவும் வேகமாகப் பூமியில் விழுந்து நாசம் செய்து விடும்.

எனவே அதை சிவன் தனது முடியில் தாங்கிக் கொண்டு,

அவள் வேகத்தை மட்டுப்படுத்தி,

நிதானமாகப் பூமியில் விழச் செய்தார்.

இந்த விவரஙகளும் உண்மையில் இயற்கையில் இருக்கின்றன.

அதி வேகமாக வெளிப்படும் கங்கை மலையிலிருந்து கீழே இறங்கும் வழியில்,

ஜடாமுடியைப் போல சுருண்டு சுருண்டு மலைப் பாதை இருக்கிறது.

அதன் வழியாக இறங்கும் போது கங்கையின் வேகம் குறைந்து விடுகிறது.

முடிவில் அவள் பூமியை அடையும் போது,

மக்கள் எளிதில் அணுகும் வண்ணம் அவள் அமைதியாக வருகிறாள்.

அப்படி அவள் முதன் முதலில் இறங்கி வந்த போது,

இக்ஷ்வாகு குல அரசனான பாகீரதன் பின்னால் வந்து

அவன் அழைத்துச் சென்ற இடத்தை அடைந்து

தான் எந்த காரணத்துக்காகப் பிறந்தாளோ அந்த காரணத்துக்காக

அதாவது இறந்தவர்களுக்கு விமோசனம் தருவதற்காகத்

தன் முதல் பணியை ஆற்றினாள்.

அப்படி அவள் முதலில் விமோசானம் தந்த இடம் தமிழ் நாட்டில் உள்ள ராமேஸ்வரம்.

கங்கை முதலில் கால் பதித்த அந்த இடத்தில்

என்றென்றும் அவளைப் பணிந்து மக்கள் பயன் பெற உதவுவது ராமர் சேதுவாகும்.

இது என்ன புதுக் கதை என்று ஆச்சரியப்பட வேண்டாம்.

கங்கையின் உற்பத்தியை விளக்கும் ராமாயண விவரங்களுடன்,

சங்கத் தமிழும் தரும் செய்தி இது.

ராமனது வம்சாவளியில் பாகீரதன் 24 ஆவது அரசன் (பகுதி 13).

அவனுக்கு முன்னால் 20 ஆவது அரசன் சகரன் என்பவன்.

அந்த சகரன் அஸ்வமேத யாகம் செய்தான்.

அந்த யாகத்தின்போது  குதிரை காணாமல் போய் விட்டது.

அதைத் தேட தனது மகன்களை அனுப்பினான் சகரன்.

அவர்கள் மொத்தம் 60,000 பேர்.

அவர்கள் குதிரையைத் தேடிக் கொண்டு செல்லும் வழியெல்லாம்,

பூமியை வெட்டி, உடைத்துக் கொண்டும் தேடினார்கள்.

அதனால் பல உயிரினங்களும் துன்பப்பட்டன.

அந்த நேரத்தில் பூமி பிளப்பது போன்ற சப்தமும் கேட்டது.

இது ஒரு பூகம்பம் நடந்து என்பதைக் குறிக்கலாம்.

பூமியில் தேடிக் கொண்டே அவர்கள் கடலருகே வருகிறார்கள்.

அங்கும் அவர்கள் பூமிக்கடியில் தோண்டித் தேடினார்கள்.

பூமிக்கடியில் அவர்கள் தோண்டிக் கொண்டு சென்ற திசைகளும் சொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளன.

முதலில் கிழக்கே சென்றார்கள்.

ஆனால் அங்கு கிழக்குத் திசை யானை இருந்தது.

இங்கு மேலும் சொல்லப்படும் விவரம் முக்கியமானது.

அந்த யானை தன் தலை மீது கிழக்குத்திசை பூமியை வைத்துக்கொண்டுள்ளதாம்.

அவ்வபோது அதற்கு சிரமாக இருக்கும் போது தன் தலை மீதுள்ள பாரத்தை இறக்கி வைக்குமாம்.

அதனால் நிலநடுகக்ம் ஏற்படும் என்று சொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளது. (வா. ராமாயணம் 1-10-15)

தமிழில் பூகம்பம் என்கிறோமே அதுவே சமஸ்க்ருதத்திலும்.

"பூமி கம்ப ததா பவேத்'  என்கிறது ராமாயணம்.

அதாவது பூமித்தட்டின் எல்லைப்பகுதியை இது குறிக்கிறது.

அதை உடைக்கப் பார்த்தால் என்ன விளைவுகள் ஏற்படுமோ, அதனால்

அவர்கள் தென் திசை நோக்கித் திரும்பினார்கள்.

கடலுக்குள் அவர்கள் தோண்டிச் சென்று கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

தென் திசையில் பல தூரம் சென்றதும், அங்கும் தென் திசை யானைக் கண்டார்கள்.

இதுவும் பூமித்தட்டோ அல்லது ஃபால்ட் (Fault) எனப்படும் விரிசலாகவோ இருக்க வேண்டும்.

இந்த விரிசல் பகுதியில் நிலநடுக்கங்கள் ஏற்படும்.

எனவே அவர்கள் மேற்கு நோக்கித் திரும்பினார்கள்.

அங்கும் திசை யானை இருக்கவே,

வடக்கு நோக்கித் திரும்பினார்கள்.

அங்கும் திசை யானை இருக்கவே, வட கிழக்கு நோக்கித் திரும்பினார்கள்.

அங்கு கபில முனிவரது ஆஸ்ரமத்தில் அஸ்வமேத யானையைக் கண்டார்கள்.

கபிலர் அதைத் திருடி வந்திருக்கிறார் என்று கருதி அவரைத் தாக்கச் சென்றனர்.

அப்பொழுது அவர் 'ஹூம்' என்று ஒலி எழுப்பினார்.

அதில் அவர்கள் அனைவரும் சாம்பலாகி விட்டனர்.

60000 சகர மகன்கள் சாம்பலானது ஒரு பெரும் குன்றாக அங்கு இருந்தது.

தன் மகன்கள் வரவில்லையே என்று பேரன் அம்ஷுமானை அனுப்புகிறான் சகரன்.

சகர மகன்கள் தோண்டிச் சென்ற அடையாளத்தைக் கொண்டே

அவன் தேடிச் சென்று கபிலர் இருப்பிடத்தை அடைந்தான்.

அங்கு நடந்ததைக் கேள்விப்பட்டு கபிலரிடமிருந்து குதிரையைப் பெற்றான்.

ஆனால் அகாலமாக, கோர மரணம் அடைந்த தன் முன்னோர்களான சகர மகன்கள்

நற்கதி அடைய பித்ரு தர்ப்பணம் செய்ய விரும்பினான்.

நடந்த துர் மரணத்துக்கு நற்கதி கிடைக்க வேண்டுமென்றால்,

கங்கையில் தர்ப்பணம் செய்ய வேண்டும்.

அந்தக் கங்கையோ இமய மலை முகட்டில் பனிக்கருவில் இருக்கிறாள்.

எனவே அவளை பூமிக்குக் கொண்டு வர வேண்டும் என்று அவன் முயன்றான்.

அவனது வாழ் நாளில் அது நடக்கவில்லை.

அவனது மகன் திலீபனும், தவமிருந்து கங்கை வரப் பிரார்த்திக்கிறான்.

அப்பொழுதும் கங்கை வரவில்லை.

அவனது மகனான பாகீரதன் பிரயத்தனப்பட்ட போது கங்கை வெளிப்பட்டாள்.

பூமியில் விழுந்த கங்கை சகர மகன்கள் வெட்டிச் சென்ற பள்ளத்தில் விழுந்து

பாகீரதன் பின்னால் செல்லத் தொடங்கினாள்.

அந்தப் பாதை கடலுக்குள்ளும் சென்றதால்

அதில் தொடர்ந்து சென்று

அவள் கபிலர் ஆஸ்ரமத்துக்கு அருகே

குன்றாக இருந்த சாம்பலைக் கரைத்தாள்.

அதனால் துர் மரணம் அடைந்த சகர மகன்கள் விடுபட்டு

இறந்தவர்கள் செல்ல வேண்டிய உலகங்களுக்குச் சென்றனர்.

கங்கை கரைத்த அந்த இடத்திலேயே பாகீரதன் பித்ரு தர்ப்பணம் செய்து வழிபட்டான்.

அந்த இடம் சேதுப் பாலம் இருக்கும் பகுதியில் உள்ள ராமேஸ்வரமாகும்.

இந்தக் கதை இருக்கட்டும்.

உண்மையில் இப்படி நடந்திருப்பது சாத்தியமா?

ராமாயணம் சொல்லும் தோண்டிய வழியைப் பார்த்தால் இது சாத்தியம்.

சகர மகன்கள் கடலுக்கு வந்தது என்பது வங்காள விரிகுடாக் கடலாகும்.

அதில்தான் கங்கை கலக்கிறது.

அதற்கு மேல் கடலில் நமக்கு ஒன்றும் கண்ணுக்குத் தெரிவதில்லை.

ஆனால் பனியுகம் இருந்த காலத்தில் இந்தக் கடலில் நீர் அதிகம் இல்லை.

வங்காள விரிகுடாக் கடலின் மட்டம் உயரமானது.

அது கலக்கும் இந்தியக் கடலின் மட்டம் தாழ்வானது.

இந்தியக் கடல் 20,000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னால்

இப்பொழுது இருப்பதை விட 150 மீட்டர் முறைவாக இருந்தது என்று பார்த்தோம்.

அந்தக் கடலில் நீர் மட்டம் குறையக் குறைய,

வங்கக் கடலின் நீரும் இந்தியக் கடலை நோக்கிச் சென்று விடவே குறைந்திருக்கும்.

அதனால் கரையோரப் பகுதிகளில் நிலப் பாகம் வெளியில் தெரிந்திருக்கும்.

எனவே இன்றைக்கு இருக்கும் இந்தியக் கிழக்குக் கடற்கரை

இன்னும் கடலுக்குள் நீண்டிருக்கும்.

அந்தப் பகுதியில் சகரர் மகன்கள் வெட்டிச் சென்றிருக்கிறார்கள்.

இதை உறுதி படுத்தும் வண்ணம்

வங்கக் கடலின் அடித்தள வரைபடம்

ஒரு ஆச்சரியமான அமைப்பைக் காட்டுகிறது.

வங்கக் கடலின் அடித்தளத்தை ஆராய்ந்து,

அதன் அடிவாரத்தின் அமைப்புகளைத் தரும் விஞ்ஞானிகள் கொடுத்துள்ள இந்த வரை படத்தைப் பாருங்கள்.

இதில் கடலோரத்தில் கால்வாய் போன்ற அமைப்புகள் தெரிகின்றன.

இவற்றின் ஆழம் 130 மீ, 80 மீ, 60 மீ, 30 மீ ஆகும்

என்று இந்த ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றனர்.

இவை பனியுக கால முடிவில் ஏற்பட்டவை என்கின்றனர்

(18,000 ஆண்டுகள் தொடஙகி 15,000 ஆண்டுகளுக்குள் எற்பட்டிருக்க வேண்டும்)

இந்தியக் கடலில் இந்த ஆழத்தில் அப்பொழுது கடல் நீர் இல்லை.

இந்தியக் கடலை விட வங்கக் கடல் உயரம் அதிகம்.

எனவே இந்தியக் கடலில் 150 மீ ஆழத்தில் நீர் இருந்த போது

வங்கக் கடல் இந்தியாவுக்குக் கிழக்கே தொலைவில் இருந்திருக்க் வேண்டும்.

ராமாயணம் சொல்லும் விவரத்தையும், இதையும் ஒப்பிடுவோம்.

சகர மகன்கள் வெட்டிய மொத்த நிலப்பரப்பைப் பற்றி குறிப்பு இருக்கிறது.

60,000 மகன்களும் ஆளுக்கு ஒரு சதுர யோஜனை ('ஏக ஏகம் யோஜனா')

வெட்டினர் என்கிறது.

ஒரு யோஜனை என்பது ஏறத்தாழ 8 மைல்களாகும்.

எனவே 60,000 மகன்களும் 4,80,000 சதுர யோஜனை வெட்டியிருக்க வேண்டும்.

இதை நீளவாக்கில் எடுத்துக் கொண்டால்

மொத்தமாக சுமார் 700 மைல் தொலைவுக்குள் வெட்டியிருக்க வேண்டும்.

அதாவது 1000 கி.மீட்டருக்குக் குறையாமல் தோண்டியிருக்க வேண்டும்.

மேலே காட்டப்படட் படத்தில் உள்ள தூரம் ஏறக்குறைய அவ்வளவு இருக்கும்.

கல்கத்தாவுக்கும் கொழும்புவுக்கும் இடையே விமானப் பயணத் தூரம் 1965 கி.மீ.

எனவே கடலில் காட்டப்பட்டுள்ள தூரம் 1000 கி.மீட்டருக்குக் குறையாமல் இருக்கும்.

முதலில் சகர மகன்கள் தோண்டும் போது நில நடுக்கம் உண்டாகியிருக்கிறது.

அதன் சப்ததையும், அதிர்வையும் அவர்கள் உணர்ந்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

அவர்கள் கடலில் நுழைந்தார்கள் என்று சொன்னது,

ஒரு காலத்தில் கடலாகப் பரவியிருந்து,

நீர் மட்டம் குறைந்து விட்ட வங்கக் கடலில் நுழைந்திருக்கிறார்கள் என்பது புலனாகிறது.

அதில் முதலில் கிழக்கு நோக்கிச் சென்றிருக்கிறார்கள்.

அங்கு 90 டிகிரி மலை இருக்கிறது.

இன்றைக்கு அந்த மலை கங்கையாற்றுடன் வந்து விழும் வண்டல் மண்ணினால்

பல கி.மீ தூரம் புதைந்து விட்டது.

இந்தப் பகுதியில், நிலநடுக்க அபாயம் உள்ளது.

மேலும் இந்த ஆராய்ச்சியில் கிழக்கு முகமாக ஒரு நீள் பள்ளம் இருப்பது தெரிய வந்துள்ளது.

அது உண்டான காலக் கட்டத்தை அறிய முடிந்தால்,

அது சகரர் காலத்தில் கடலில் எற்பட்ட பூகம்பத்தால் விளைந்ததா என்று தெரியும்.

எனவே சகர மகன்கள் தெற்கு நோக்கியே வந்திருக்கின்றனர்.

அங்கு இலங்கைதீவு ஒரு பூகம்ப விரிசல் (Fault) பகுதியில் இருக்கவே அதைச் சுற்றி வெட்டியிருக்கின்றனர்.

அங்கிருந்து மேற்கில் திரும்பி,

பிறகு வடக்கில் வெட்டிச் சென்று

அங்கும் பூகம்பப் பகுதிகளாக இருக்கவே

வட மேற்காக தற்போதைய ராமேஸ்வரத்தை அடைந்திருக்கின்றனர்.

அங்கு குதிரைக் கண்டிருக்கின்றனர்.

அவர்கள் அனைவருமே கபில முனிவரது ஹூங்காரத்தினால் சாம்பலாயினர் என்று சொன்னது,

அங்கிருந்த பூகம்ப விரிசலால் வெப்பம் ஏற்பட்டு இறந்திருக்கலாம் என்று தெரிகிறது.

இதை நிச்சயமாக நாம் சொலல்லாம்.

ஏனெனில் ராமர் சேதுவுக்குக் கீழே எரிமலை புதைந்திருக்கிறது.

சேது சமுத்திரத் திட்டத்தை அமல் படுத்தக் கூடாது

என்று கொடுத்துள்ள காரணங்களில் முக்கியமான ஒன்று,

அந்தப் பகுதியில் வென்னீர் ஊற்றுக்களில் இருப்பது போல வெப்பம் உண்டாகிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது என்பதே.

அதனால் உள்ளுக்குள் எரிமலை வாய் இருகக்கூடும்.

அங்கு மன்னார் பகுதியில் கடலுக்குள் எரிமலை இருக்கிறது

என்றும் அவர் கூறியுள்ளது முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்தது.

பூமிதட்டின் எல்லைகளில் மட்டுமல்லாது,

அந்தத்தட்டுகளின் பல இடஙகளிலும்,

பூமியின் அடிவாரம் பிளந்து பூகம்பம் வரக்கூடிய அறிகுறிகள் நிறையவே உள்ளன.

அப்படிப்பட்ட இடங்களில் எரிமலைகள் உண்டாகலாம்.

நில நடுகக்மும் ஏற்படலாம்.

சகர மகன்கள் வங்கக் கடலைத் தோண்டியபோது

எங்கெல்லாம் பூமி விரிசல்கள், (ஃபால்ட்) இருந்தனவோ

அந்த இடங்களைத் தவிர்த்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

அப்படி அவர்கள் தவிர்த்த ஒரு பகுதி ராமர் சேது.

கடல் மட்டம் குறைவாக இருந்த காலக்கட்டத்தில்

அந்த இடத்தில் எரிமலையின் உஷ்ணம் நன்கு வெளிப்பட்டிருக்க வேண்டும்.

அதனால் சகர மகன்கள் எரிந்து சாம்பலாயிருக்கின்றனர்.

அவர்கள் வெட்டிய வழியில் கங்கை நதி ஓடி வந்திருக்கிறது.

அவள் முதலில் விமோசனம் கொடுத்தது இந்த சகர மகன்களுக்குத்தான்.

சிவனது வெப்பத்தைத் தாங்கியவள் அவள் என்று முன்னமேயே சொல்லப்பட்டது.

அழிக்கும் தொழிலுக்கு அதிபதியாக சிவன் இருக்கவே,

எங்கெல்லாம் அழிவிலிருந்து விமோசனம் தேவையோ

அங்கெல்லாம் அந்த சிவனது தலையிலிருந்து இறங்கிய கங்கையும் இருப்பாள்.

சிவனும் குடி இருப்பான்.

கங்கையின் முதல் பாப விமோசனம் நடந்த ராமேஸ்வரத்தில்

பாகீரதன் லிங்க பிரதிஷ்டை செய்து வழிபட்டிருக்க வேண்டும்.

கடல் மட்டம் ஏறாத பல வருடங்கள் வரை

மக்கள் அந்த இடத்தில்தான் பித்ரு தர்ப்பணம் செய்திருப்பர்.

ராமேஸ்வரப் பகுதியில் கடலுக்குள் வெப்பம் இருக்கவே

இன்றும் அந்தப் பகுதி கடலுக்கு 'அக்கினி தீர்த்தம்' என்றே பெயராகும்.

வங்கக் கடல் மட்டம் மிகவும் குறைவாக இருந்தது என்றும் 
அதை கங்கை நதி நிரப்பியது என்றும் 
சொல்லும் ஒரு விவரம் மஹாபாரதத்தில் இருக்கிறது.
இந்த விவரம் பனியுகத்துடன் தொடர்பு கொண்ட ஒரு இயற்கை நிகழ்வைக் காட்டுகிறது.

பூமியின் அச்சின் சாய்மானம் மாறிக்கொண்டே இருக்கவே
பனியுகம் ஏற்படுகிறது என்று கண்டோம்.
விந்திய வளர்ந்து போனதும், 
அதை அகஸ்தியர் அடக்கியதும் பற்றி
பகுதி 42 இல் கண்டோம்.
அகஸ்தியர் தென் பகுதிக்கு வந்த போது நடந்த அந்த நிகழ்ச்சியின் 
இயற்கை தாத்பர்யத்தயும் கண்டோம்.
தற்சமயம் இருப்பதை விட கடகரேகை சற்று வடக்கில் இருந்தது என்றும் கண்டோம்.

அப்படி இருந்த காலக்கட்டம் 17,000 தொடங்கி 13,000 ஆண்டுகளுக்குள் 
இருந்திருக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் கண்டோம். 
அந்த அமைப்பு இருந்த காலக்கட்டத்தில் 
வங்ககடல் வற்றிப் போன நிலையில் இருந்திருக்கிறது.


அகஸ்தியர் விந்திய மலையைத் தாண்டி தெற்கே செல்லும் போது
அடுத்த சம்பவமாக கடல் நீரைக் குடித்தார் என்கிறது மஹாபாரதம் 
(வன பர்வம் - 104,105 & 106) 

காலகேயஸ் என்னும் அசுரன் தொந்திரவு கொடுத்ததாகவும், 
அவன் கடலில் ஒளிந்து கொண்டதாகவும்,
அந்த அசுரனைப் பிடிக்க அகஸ்தியர் கடல் நீரைக் குடித்தார் என்றும்
விவரங்கள் தரப்பட்டுள்ளன.

அந்தக் கடல் வங்க கடல் என்று தெளிவாகிறது. 
ஏனெனில் கடல் நீர் வற்றி விடவே கவலை வேண்டாம். 

இக்ஷ்வாகு குலத்தில் பாகீரதன் என்னும் அரசன் வருவான், 

அவன் கங்கையைக் கொண்டு வருவான். 

அந்தக் கங்கை நீரால் இந்தக் கடல் நிரம்பும் என்று 
மஹாபாரதம், வன பர்வம், 106 முதல் 109 அத்தியாயங்களில்
வரை விவரிக்கப்படுகிறது. 
சகரனின் கதையும், 
கங்கை வந்த கதையும் 
ராமாயணத்தில் இருப்பதைப் போலவே சொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளது. 


இதன் மூலம் கடக ரேகை அதிக பட்ச வடக்குத் தொலைவை எட்டிய போது, 
வங்கக் கடலில் நீர் மட்டம் மிகவும் குறைந்து 
நில பாகங்கள் தோன்றியிருக்கின்றன என்றும், 
அங்கு பிற்காலத்தில் சகர மகன்கள் தோண்டி 
கங்கை நதி ஓட ஏதுவாக இருந்திருக்கின்றனர் என்றும் தெரிகிறது. 
இவ்வாறு உள் சாட்சியாக (internal evidence) நம் இதிஹாஸங்களிலும், 
ஒன்றுக்கொன்று முரணில்லாமல், 
இயற்கை சம்பவங்களை கதை ரூபமாக விவரித்திருக்கின்றார்கள் 
என்பது தெரிகிறது.
சுமார் 17,000 ஆண்டுகள் முதல் 13,000 ஆண்டுகளுக்குள் 
சூரியனினது அதிக பட்ச வட பயணம் 
அதாவது
கடக ரேகையின் அதிக பட்ச வட டிகிரி வந்தது. 

அந்தக் காலக் கட்டமே 
வங்கக் கடலில் தண்ணீர் மட்டம் குறைந்த காலமாகும்.
அந்தக் காலக்கட்டத்துக்குள் கங்கையும் பிறந்திருக்க வேண்டும்.

வெட்டப்பட்ட கால்வாய் போன்ற அமைப்பில் வந்த கங்கை
பனியுகம் முடிந்து வெப்பம் அதிகமாக அதிகமாக,  
காட்டாற்று வெள்ளமாக வந்திருப்பாள். 

அதனால் அவளால் வங்கக் கடல் நிரம்ப ஆரம்பித்திருக்கும். 

வங்கக் கடல் என்பதே 'கங்கா சாகர்' என்பதன் உருமாற்றம் ஆகும்.

சகர மகன்களால் அது தோண்டப்படவே அது சாகரம் என்று ஆயிற்று.

8000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் கடல் மட்டம் ஏறத்தாழ தற்போதைய நிலைக்கு வந்து விட்டது.

அதனால் தனியாக கங்கை சென்ற பாதை தெரியவில்லை.

கடல் மட்டம் ஏறினதால்.

கங்கை நீர் ராமேஸ்வரத்தைத் தாண்டி இந்தியக் கடலுக்குள் சென்று விட்டிருக்கும்.

எனவே அந்தப் பகுதியில் இருக்கும் நீர்

முழுவதும் கங்கை நீராக இருக்காது.

இதன் காரணமாக,

வட இந்தியப் பகுதியில் கங்கை ஓடி வரும் பகுதிகளில்

மக்கள் தர்ப்பணம் செய்ய ஆரம்பித்திருப்பார்கள்.

கயாவும், காசியும் அந்த சமயத்தில் முக்கியத்துவம் பெற்றிருக்கும்.

காசி – ராமேஸ்வரம் யாத்திரை ஹிந்துக்களுக்கு மிகவும் முக்கியமானது.

காசியில் கங்கையில் நீராடினால் மட்டும் இந்த யாத்திரை முடிவடையாது.

அங்கு கங்கையில் குளித்த பின்,

அங்கிருந்து கங்கை நீரை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு ராமேஸ்வரத்துக்கு வர வேண்டும்.

ராமேஸ்வரத்தில் இருக்கும் சிவனுக்கு அதைக் கொண்டு அபிஷேகம் செய்து,

ராமேஸ்வரக் கடலிலிருந்து ஒரு பிடி மண்ணை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு

மீண்டும் காசிக்குச் செல்ல வேண்டும்.

அங்கு கங்கையில் அந்த மண்ணைக் கரைத்த பிறகுதான் யாத்திரை முடிவு பெற்றதாகிறது.

இன்றைக்கும் மக்கள் அதைச் செய்கிறார்கள்.

அதற்கு என்ன காரணம் இருக்க முடியும் என்பதில் நமக்கு சந்தேகமில்லை.

வங்கக் கடல் மட்டம் ஏறின பிறகு

காசியில் ஓடும் கங்கையில் பாப விமோசனம் செய்ய ஆரம்பித்தார்கள்.

ஆயினும் முதன் முதலில் கங்கை தொட்ட இடம் சேதுக் கரையில் உள்ள ராமேஸ்வரம்தான்.

இன்றைக்குக் கங்கை நமக்கு இருப்பதற்குக் காரணமே

அந்த சகர மகன்கள் தோண்டிச் சென்றதால்தான்.

எனவே அவர்களுக்கு நன்றி தெரிவிக்கும் விதமாக

அவர்கள் ராமேஸ்வரக் கரையிலிருந்து அவர்களது சாம்பலை எடுத்துக் கங்கையில் கரைக்கும் விதமாக,

ராமேஸ்வரக் கரையிலிருந்து மண்ணை எடுத்து,

காசிக்குச் சென்று கங்கையில் கரைக்கிறார்கள்.

சேதுக் கரையில் ஆரம்பித்தே

கங்கைக்கு,

அவள் உண்டான இமய மலை வரை பாப விமோசன வேலை தொடங்கவே

'ஆசேது ஹிமாசலா'  (சேதுவிலிருந்து இமயமலை வரை)

என்ற சொற்றொடர் பிரபலமாகி இருக்கும்.

ராமேஸ்வரப் பகுதியில் கடல் நீரும் வந்து விடவே,

அங்கு சகர மகன்களால் தொடப்படாத, வெப்பப்பகுதியில் ராமன் அணை கட்டியது

தர்ப்பணம் என்னும் ஹிந்து மதசசடங்கில் பெரிதும் பயனாகிரது

ராமன் கடலைக் கடக்க விரும்பிய போது,

சமுத்திரராஜன் அந்தப் பகுதியில் கடல் நீரைக் குறைத்து வழி விடவில்லை.

அதனால் கோபமுற்ற ராமன் பிரம்மாஸ்திரத்தைத் தொடுத்தான்.

அப்பொழுது சமுத்திரராஜன் அதைத் தடுத்தான்.

அந்தப் பகுதி ஏற்கெனவே விரிசல் கண்ட பகுதி.

அதை சகர மகன்களும் உடைக்கவில்லை.

ராமனது அஸ்திரத்தால் அங்கு அழிவு ஏற்படும்.

எனவே வேறு ஒரு இடத்தில் அஸ்திரத்தை விட்டார்.

அதன் பயனாக சேதுப் பகுதியில் நீர் மட்டம் குறைந்தது.

வானரங்களும் அங்கு ஒன்றன் மேல் ஒன்றாக அடுக்குகளைப்போல

பவழப் பாறைகளையும், கற்கள், மரம் போன்றவற்றையும் கொண்டு சுவர் போல எழுப்பினர்.

இன்று அதை ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் அது சுவர் போல இருக்கிறது என்கிறார்கள்.

அப்படி உண்டாக்கியதில், இலங்கைக்குத் தரை வழியும் ஏற்பட்டது.

வங்கக் கடல் அடிவாரக் கால்வாய் வழியாக வரும் நீர்ப்போக்கும்

அங்கேயே தடை செய்யப்பட்டு விடுகிறது.

கங்கை மட்டுமல்ல.

கிழக்குக் கடலில் கலக்கும், கிருஷ்ணா, கோதாவரி போன்ற பல நதிகளின் நீரும்

சேரக்கூடிய இடமாக இருக்கவே அது புண்ணிய தீர்த்தமாகிறது.

இதன் காரணமாகவே

ராமனே சேதுவின் பெருமையை வால்மீகி ராமாயணத்தில் சொல்கிறான்.

அதை உடைத்தால்

ஒரு மாபெரும் பெருமை உடைய தீர்த்தம் தன் இயல்பை இழக்கும்.

அது மட்டுமல்ல.

அதை உடைத்தால்

முதலில் தமிழ் ஈழப் பகுதிகளும்,

மேற்கு இலங்கையும் நீருக்குள் முழுகி விடும்.

கால் பங்கு இலங்கை கடலுக்குள் மூழ்கும் அபாயம் இருக்கிறது

என்று ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் சொல்கிறார்கள்.

அப்படியும் இந்த சேதுப் பாலத்தை இடிக்க வேண்டும்

என்று சொல்லும் திராவிடவாதிகள்

தமிழ்த் துரோகிகள் மட்டுமல்ல.

மனித இனத்துக்கே துரோகிகள் ஆவார்கள்.

இனி சகர மகன்களால் இந்த வங்கக் கடல் தோண்டப்பட்டது உண்மை

என்று சொல்லும் விவரங்களைப் பார்ப்போம்.

ராமாயணத்தில் அனுமான் கடலைக் கடக்கும் போது

மைனாகம் என்னும் மலை எழும்பி வருகிறது.

அதுவரை அது கடலுக்குள் இருந்திருக்கிறது.

அனுமன் தங்கி சிரம பரிகாரம் செய்து கொள்ளட்டும் என்று,

அது அவனுக்கு அதிதி பூஜை செய்வதற்காக எழும்பியது.

கடலுக்குள் முழுகியிருந்த எரிமலை அமைப்பை இது சித்தரிக்கிறது.

பாதாளத்தின் வாயிலை அடைத்துக் கொண்டு உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிறது என்றும்

அதனால் பாதாளத்தில் இருக்கும் அசுரர்கள்

வெளியே வராமல் அது பார்த்துக் கொள்கிறது என்றும் வர்ணனை வருகிறது.

பூமியின் அடியில் திரவ நிலையில் பூமிக் குழம்புகள் இருப்பதையும்,

அது வெடிப்பு மூலமாக வெளியே வரமுடியாமல்,

அதன் மீது மைனாக மலை அமர்ந்திருப்பதையும் இது காட்டுகிறது.

அனுமன் கடலைக் கடந்தபொழுது,

அபாயகரமாக இல்லாமல்

அது கடல் மட்டத்துக்கு மேலே தெரிந்திருக்க வேண்டும்.

அது அவ்வாறு எழும்பினதற்குக் காரணம் சமுத்திர ராஜன்.

ராம காரியமாக அனுமன் வரவே,

எந்த ராமனுடைய முன்னோனான சகர மன்னனது மகன்கள் செயலால்

அந்த சமுத்திரத்தில் நீர் அதிகமானதோ,

அதற்குக் கைமாறாக ராம காரியத்தில் தானும் ஏதேனும் செய்ய சமுத்திர ராஜன் விரும்பினான்.

அதனால் மைனாக மலையில் அனுமன் இறங்கி சிரம பரிகாரம் செய்து கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்று சமுத்திர ராஜன் சொன்னான்.

இதன் மூலம் வங்கக் கடலில்தான் சகர மகன்கள் தோண்டியிருக்கிறார்கள் தெரிகிறது.

இதற்குப் பிறகும் சகர மகன்கள் செய்த செய்கையைப் பற்றிய குறிப்பு வருகிறது.

அதைச் சொல்பவன் விபீஷணன்.

வானரப் படைகளுடன் எப்படிக் கடலைக் கடப்பது என்று ராமன் யோசித்தபோது,

விபீஷணன் சமுத்திர ராஜனை உதவச் சொல்லிக் கேடகச் சொல்கிறான்.

ராமனது முன்னோனான சகரர்களால் அந்தக் கடல் தோண்டப்படவே,

அந்தக் கடலுக்கு அரசனான சமுத்திரராஜன் இப்பொழுது உதவிக்கு வருவான்.

எனவே கடலில் வழி விடுமாறு அவனை ராமன் கேட்கட்டும் என்கிறான்.

தமிழ் நூல்களிலும் இது சகரரால் தோண்டப்பட்ட கடல் என்று வருகிறது.

தமிழில் கடலுக்குப் பல வர்ணனைகள் உள்ளன.

வட கடல், தென் கடல், குண கடல், குடக் கடல் என்பவை முறையே

வடக்கு, தெற்கு, கிழக்கு, மேற்கு என்னும் திசைகளில் உள்ள கடல்களுக்குச் சொல்வது.

இவை தவிர விரிகடல், தொடுகடல், அகழ் கடல் என்று

வினைப் பெயர்களாக கடல் விவரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

பரந்து விரிந்த கடல் விரிகடல் ஆகும்.

ஆனால் தொடு கடல் என்றால் 'தோண்டப்பட்ட கடல்' என்ப்படும்.

'அகழ் கடல்' என்றால் அகழப்பட்ட அதாவது தோண்டப்பட்ட கடல் என்பது பொருளாகும்.

இந்த இரண்டு சொற்களும், கிழக்கில் உள்ள வங்கக் கடலுக்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளது.

'வடாஅது' என்று ஆரம்பிக்கும் புறநாநூறு 6- ஆம் பாடலில்

'தொடு கடல் குணக்கு' என்று வந்துள்ளது.

டா. உ.வே.சா. அவர்கள் கண்டெடுத்த உரையில்,

"கீழ்க்கண்ணது கரையைப் பொருகின்ற சகரரால் தோண்டப்பட்ட சாகரத்தின் கிழக்கும"

 என்கிறார் பழைய உரையாசிரியர்.

தோண்டப்பட்ட இடத்துக்கும் கிழக்கில் கடல் இருந்தது.

தோண்டப்பட்ட பகுதி நிலமாக இருந்தது.

கரையோரமாகத் தோண்டியிருக்கிறார்கள் என்பது புலனாகிறது.

ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் கொடுத்துள்ள வரைபடத்திலும் இதையே காண்கிறோம்.

மேலும் அந்த உரையில்

"சகரரால் தோண்டப்பட்டமையின் கீழ்க் கடலைத் தொடு கடலென்றார்"

என்றும் சொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இந்தக் கருத்தே வில்லி பாரதத்திலும்

"தொட்ட பைங்கடல் சூரியன் தோன்றுமுன் தோன்றி" என்று வருகிறது ( வி-பா- நிரை மீட்சி 24)

சிலப்பதிகாரத்தில் இரண்டு இடங்களில் 'அகழ் கடல்' என்று சொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளது.

"அகழ் கடல் ஞாலம் ஆள்வோய் வாழி" (நடுகல் காதை. வரி – 127)

என்பதற்கு அடியார்க்கு நல்லார் உரையில்

"சகரரால் தோண்டப்பட்ட கடல்" என்று சொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளது.

கால் கோள் காதையில் 237 ஆம் வரியில்

'கடல் அகழ் இலங்கையில்' என்று வருகிறது.

கடலை அகழ்ந்து உருவாக்கப்பட்ட இலங்கையில் என்பது பொருள்.

இதை 'கடலே அகழி போல இருந்த இலங்கை' என்று பொருள் கொள்வாறும் உள்ளனர்.

ஆனால் ஒன்றைத்தெரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

அகழி என்ற சொல்லே

அகழ்ந்து அதாவது தோண்டப்பட்டு வந்தது என்பது பொருள்.

இலங்கையைச் சுற்றியுள்ள கடல் அகழப்பட்டு வரவே,

அகழ்கடல் இலங்கை என்கிறார் இளங்கோவடிகளார்.

சிலப்பதிகாரம் கூறும் இந்த வரிகளில் இன்னொரு விசேஷம் இருக்கிறது.

கண்ணகி கோவிலுக்காக கல் எடுத்து வெற்றியுடன் திரும்புகிறான் சேரன் செங்குட்டுவன்.

அதைக் கொண்டாடும் வண்ணம்

முன்தேர்த்தட்டில் முதல்வனை வாழ்த்திக் குரவை ஆடுகிறார்கள்.

பின் தேர்த்தட்டில் கூளிச் சுற்றம் குரவை ஆடுகிறார்கள்.

இதற்குத் தொல்காப்பிய சூத்திரம் இருக்கிறது (பொருள் -76)

வென்ற அரசனது வெற்றிக் களிப்பில்

அவனிருக்கும் தேர்த்தட்டின் முன்னும் பின்னும் நடனம் ஆடுகின்றனர்.

முன் தேர்த்தட்டில் ஆடுபவர்களுடன் அரசனும் கை கோர்த்து ஆடுவான்.

அந்த ஆட்டத்தில் முதல்வன் என்று இறைவனது வெற்றியைப் பாடி ஆடுவர்.

யார் அந்த இறைவன்?

செங்குட்டுவன் ஆடிய  முன் தேர்த்தட்டுக் குரவையில்,

திருமால் கடல் வயிறு கலக்கிய பாங்கும்,

கடல் இகழ் இலங்கையில் போரிட்டுப் பெற்ற வெற்றியும்,

பாண்டவர் பொருட்டு தேரூர்ந்து சென்று பெற்ற வெற்றியும் பாடப்பட்டது.

ராமன் யார் என்று கேட்ட திராவிடமூடவாதிகள்

சிலப்பதிகாரம் படித்த பட்சணம் அவ்வளவுதான்.

ராமன் வாழ்ந்தான் என்பது மட்டுமல்ல,

அவன் இலங்கையில் வெற்றி கொண்டான் என்பதையும்,

கடல் ஊழி வந்து விட்டதோ என்று

முதல் ஊழிக்குப் பிறகு தென் மதுரை மக்கள் பேசிக் கொண்டார்கள்

என்று நச்சினார்க்கினியர் உரையில் காணப்படுகிறது என்கிறார்கள்.

அந்தப் பகுதி கிடைத்தும் அதை இங்கே குறிப்பிடுகிறேன்.

ஆனால் சகரரால் தோண்டப்பட்ட கடல் என்னும் விவரம்

சிலப்பதிகார காலம் வரையிலும் மக்களிடையே புழங்கி இருக்கிறது.

இனி அது நடந்த காலக்கட்டத்தைப் பார்ப்போம்.

கங்கை நதிப் படுகையை ஆராய்ச்சி செய்தால்

அது உண்டான காலக்கட்டத்தைச் சொல்லி விடலாம்.

இதுவரை அப்படி ஒரு ஆராய்ச்சியை சிறிய அளவில்

ஐ.ஐ.டி. கான்பூர் குழுவினர் செய்திருக்கின்றனர்.

அப்பொழுது கங்கை இருந்திருக்கிறாள்.

எனவே 12,000 வருடஙகளுக்கு முன்னால் கங்கை உற்பத்தி ஆகி இருக்க வேண்டும்.

பனியுகம் முடிந்து ஆறுகள் பெருக்கெடுத்த காலத்துடன் இது ஒத்துப் போகிறது.

இதன் அடிப்படையில் பாகீரதன் இருந்தது 12,000 வருடஙகளுக்கு முன்னால் என்று கொள்ளலாம்.

மனுவில் தொடங்கி அவன் 24 ஆவது அரசன் என்பது வால்மீகி ராமாயனம் சொல்வது.

Statement of Dr Subramanian Swamy on Sadiq Batcha's death

Statement of Dr. Subramanian Swamy,        

 

President of the Janata Party.

 

March 18, 2011.

 

I demand  that the Central Government immediately announce before any further evidence is destroyed, a CBI inquiry into the untimely death of Sadick Batcha, a close aide of former Telecom Minister A. Raja.

 

 

According to my information the autopsy report shows that his death due to asphyixia could be due to  multiple reasons including he being a strangled by a pillow  fixed  over his face, i.e. not only suicide by hanging but also murdered  being strangulated before being strung up to look like a suicide.  The unexplained time period between his going to the bathroom and his body being found by his wife, a time period of four hours elapsed  which  also lends to the mystery in the circumstances of his death.

 

 

I also demand that the Central Government voluntarily request the Supreme Court to monitor the CBI investigation of this untimely death  in view of the fact that many of the potential accused  to be  in the charge-sheets  to be filed in the future, will be people holding influence in the Central Government.

 

 

I demand that the Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram clarify publicly whether he had reached an agreement with the then Telecom Minister Mr. A. Raja to fix the price of spectrum at the low level of 2001 prices to enable some telecom companies to earn a huge windfall of profit.  If he does not clarify his position  within the next five days, I shall be compelled to move an application seeking he be made an accused, before the Special Court on 31st of March  when the first charge-sheet of the CBI will be filed.

 

 

According to my information and documentation, Mr. Chidambaram had conspired with Mr. A. Raja behind the back of the Prime Minister in late 2007 to encourage the former Telecom Minister Mr. Raja to fix the spectrum price at the artificially low level of 2001, which is about one fourteenth of the price in 2008. Hence he is culpable under Section 120B of the IPC read with Section 11, 12 and 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

INDIA, March 6, 2011: For the young, educated Indian, it's soul, spirituality and solace. Most college students in India's metros have faith in God -- and family -- firmly in place, an exclusive survey across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad has found.
 

An overwhelming majority of respondents -- 91% -- are practicing believers,  have faith and regularly visit a place of worship, especially during stressful times like exam week. More than two-thirds admit to praying at least once a week and 26% say they pray, but only on special occasions.
 

What's more, 95% seek their parents' blessings before embarking on a new and important task. Most prefer to follow the religion they were born into and only 6% would like to explore other faiths.
 

Unsurprisingly, the family is acknowledged as the biggest influence in matters of faith by 91% of respondents, with friends considered important by just 5% and the Internet ranked high by just 1%.
 

In response to the question " How spiritual are you?", 16% said very, 49% said moderately, 28% said slightly and a mere 7% responded not at all. The poll was conducted among 757 students, of which 490 were from elite and 267 from middle-rung colleges.
 

Nuclear crisis of Japan– will it spread globally? (some astrological thoughts)

Most of us are witnessing for the first time in our life, a terrible calamity of unfathomable proportions happening at Japan. The damage to the Nuclear reactors by tsunami waves seems to be heading towards a catastrophe. The radiation leakage happening at Fukushima plant raises the fears that the leaks would spread to other parts of the world and affect more number of people.


For a huge human tragedy to happen in a large scale, there are 3 main pointers according to Vedic astrology. Fortunately none of them are present now.


(1)The most important one is the position of Saturn. If Saturn is in Aries, its debility –sign or is posited in any of the 7 asterisms starting from Krittika or is retrograde in these asterisms, a great calamity to human kind will occur. Fortunately Saturn is in no way connected to these signs and stars.



(2) If Saturn is in the asterism of Krittika and Jupiter traverses Vishaka, there will be a terrible calamity to the world and human race. Such a combination also is not present now.


(3) If malefics like Saturn, Mars and the nodes are transiting the star Rohini (Aldebaran in Taurus) or even casting their aspect on Rohini, it signifies human suffering of catastrophic proportions. In all major catastrophes that happened in the recorded past century, this affliction had been there. The 2^nd World war, the nuclear bombings at Nagasaki and Hiroshima, the attack on WTC etc coincided with either Saturn or Mars crossing Rohini.
Based on these main factors, we can say that whatever is happening will have localized presence. Compared to the nuclear bombing charts of 1945, the present nuclear threat and causality on account of that will be very less.


However there are other factors of concern present at the moment.

·        All planets except Jupiter are in the southern declination. The planets in the South do not give benefic results.

·        Many planets are conjoining in Pisces and are running parallel to the earth at the current times. Except Saturn, all the others are moving close to the Gandanthas – the points of danger. Rahu is close to crossing the Mula- Aslesha junction. Others are close to Revathy – Aswini junction.

·        The conjoining planets in Pisces will be combust due to close proximity to the Sun. According to Varahamihira planets in debility, in inimical sign and in combustion can not give good results in mundane affairs.

·        The mutual aspect of Saturn, Mars and Jupiter give rise to sufferings to people and children from hunger and weapons / instruments. Mars will be moving into such a mutual aspect from 25^th March onwards.

·        The presence of earthquake and tsunami producing planetary combinations as explained in a previous article continue to be there till April.

·        Though we don't take into consideration the outer planets of western astrology, we do find their utility in calamity charts. We take into consideration their sidereal position. As such Uranus forming a square relation with the nodes is a matter of concern now. Saturn coming into this square relationship from its location in the earthy sign of Virgo heightens the intensity of a calamity.

The calamity struck on the day the moon was reaching its outer limit of earthquake arc (sashti thtithi) and just fell within the 4^th sign aspect of Mars. For human suffering to happen, the moon must fall within the aspect range of Mars or Saturn or the nodes. Moon was well within the aspect range of Saturn around the last New Moon, but nothing happened because Jupiter from its own house and moving in the Northern declination protected it. But such protection did not exit on the day of earthquake.



With this background information on how the events are seen astrologically, we can not rule out more troubles in the coming days.
The Fukushima startup chart (March 26, 1971, 5-38 am) shows that it is destined for a death at the current times. Its lagna lord and 8^th lord are in debility. The debilitated 8^th lord's dasa (Mercury) is running now. The debilitated lagna lord's (Saturn) antar dsasa starts in June 2011. The plant will be closed once for all in that period (Mer-Sat)



What causes concern at present is that the Sun will be coming in exact square degrees with moon and the nodes on 20^th March in the pre dawn time at Japan.  A couple of days after that, the sun crosses Uranus.  These dates are truly a cause of concern with escalation in human sufferings. However I wish to bank on the positive power of Jupiter as it will be still out of bounds of asthang (combustion) by the Sun.



During that time, Indonesia also comes under affliction. Other probable areas are Northeast and South west of the globe. This covers the Pacific ring of fire. The countries having Sagittarius as their mundane sign also will suffer. Australia comes into picture on that account.



The troublesome developments are likely to reappear around 4^th April when Mars squares with Uranus and the nodes. On that day Mars wins the planetary war over Uranus. Such a victory signifies explosions, fire, and destruction. Jupiter gets combust by then and therefore can not offer any solace. Again when Mercury crosses Jupiter backwards on April 12 and 13^th, earthquakes are likely.



It is very disturbing to say that this kind of situation continues till the end of April. The middle of April shows a peculiar combination of planets with all the planets except Venus in square signs. This replicates almost 80% of the combination that occurred when Kaliyuga began. Pralaya (deluge) like conditions existed when Kaliyuga started.



At that time all the planets except the nodes were together in Pisces. Now Venus is just behind the group. Saturn is not in that group. This is some relief though Saturn will be aspecting Pisces from a retrograde position.



For a severe global calamity or severe impact as happened at Nagasaki and Hiroshima, Saturn must be moving in 4 signs starting from Pisces. Now it is not so ensures that the scale of human sufferings will be less and manageable. However until April 13^th, the human miseries and fears are not likely to subside, but they will be localized. Threat by water is not ruled out as 2 of the 3 watery signs receive malefic aspects.



Mother Earth is a personification of patience. If she goes a little disturbed, our existence is affected. That's why Vedic Thought always treats her with reverence. No harm must be done to her. We show concern to other natural forces such as air and water and make rules to keep them unpolluted. But we take the earth for granted. We rarely think that even digging the earth for building houses amounts to a harm done to her.



In our sanatana system, we are not supposed to dig her even for building purposes. Since such digging is inevitable we do pooja to her as a kind of pacification of her. The practice of worship or snakes and offering milk to snake holes are all to do with seeking forgiveness for the harms done to the earth and for freedom from troubles of earth's anger (earthquakes). Looking from such a point of view, the setting up of nuclear reactors, the way the experiments are conducted underground as in CERN and how the wastes are dumped into the ground, are all assault on Mother Earth. We have to start treating her with more concern. Let us pray to her to calm down.

This is an astrological thought on the time of death of Sadiq Batcha, the aide of A.Raja.

Just a few days ago, I wrote as comment 2 critical points in the movement of planets -one around the current time and the other on April 12 / 13, around the time of TN elections. 

The first one is taking place at the moment.

Mercury defeated Jupiter in the planetary war which just began at 7 am this morning (IST)

According to Varahamihira, it means that mlecchas, truthful men, armed soldiers, and Madhyadesa will suffer;

Also the various persons and objects presided by Jupiter will suffer a set back. (Brihat samhita, chapter 17)

I was wondering in what way such a set back will happen.

As A.Raja's confinement is going to be over on 17^th March (tomorrow),

I was anxious that the set back to Jupiter (Justice) must not be manifest in the form of letting him out now.

We can only propose and anticipate things, but God is the Disposer of things.

At the sudden death of Sadiq Basha, the set back to Justice has manifested itself.

In the death of Sadiq Basha, the CBI and its case signified by Jupiter, has suffered a setback.

This shows that Raja will not be let out now.

Planetary war means the race between the planets.

When a planet crosses another, it is said to have won the planetary war over the planet which it had crossed.

This will be manifest in the events connected with these two planets.

(This plays a crucial role in mundane events.)

Such a manifestation will happen when the victorious planet has crossed the other and is within 1 degree from that.

Mercury started moving across Jupiter at 7 am today and at around 11-30, Sadiq Bhasha had died.

He was supposed to have boarded the flight to Delhi at 2 pm to meet the CBI, it is reported.

A crucial person in the know of the money trail to the political personalities in Tamilnadu is no more.

By the planetary victory of Mercury over Jupiter, this is interpreted as a set back to the Justice System.

However there is an interesting development to take place on April 12/ 13.

The same Mercury which is now speeding past Jupiter,

would be coming back in retrogression and crosses Jupiter on April 12/13.

By this, Mercury goes behind Jupiter, thereby letting Jupiter win!!

In this scenario, Jupiter is going in its own pace.

Only Mercury had gone past now and would come back.

On 2nd April it gets back to Pisces and starts moving towards Jupiter and crosses it on April 12^th.

By this Jupiter wins the planetary war which means that thieves will suffer and Justice will prevail.

What becomes a set back now will however become a strength

or will have less impact in due course in the discharge of Justice system.

That day is not far away as the planet which caused the setback will make things alright by April 12/13

Did Batcha really die? 

The report by Tehelka.com has raised this suspicion.

 The points I  noted:-

# Those who saw the TV clippings, saw the body wrapped in cloth which is usually done after the postmortem. But the body was wrapped when it was taken out of Apollo Hospital. Why did the Apollo doctors wrap the body like that? Can't help thinking that it was the same hospital where Raja planned to get admitted once the news of his arrest came in.

# There was no shock or wailing by the family members as used to be seen in such sudden and tragic deaths

# The family was said to be leaving for native place after the body was taken to Royapetta hospital. Unusual.

# The wife readily gave out a complaint that it was a suicide. Wonder how the wife of the person in such grievous condition could have some composure to give any note. Where was the need to give a complaint so soon? 

# Tehelka article says that no flight ticket was booked for Delhi by Batcha contrary to what the family told

# MK and co retired to Mahabalipuram resort in the morning of that day. Just reminded me of a similar retreat before Raja was arrested. So did he know anything/ something or what did he know?

# If there is really a foul play - that Batcha had escaped to outside India and created a scene that he was dead - I would not rule out such a possibility from astrological indicators. For, the planet mercury that crossed Jupiter (explained above) was a neecha planet - a planet  in debility. Ancient astrological texts say that when mercury wins over Jupiter, that will be a blow to Justice. But no text has elaborated what if a  debilitated planet wins in planetary  war. It is left to our interpretation. My interpretation is that such a victory will be a result of foul-play. By this, I am prepared to buy the theory that Batcha had escaped and made up a alibi that he was dead.

It continues to amaze me how this debilitated planet returns and makes Jupiter win on 12th April. Such a return makes me think that there will be some reversal of what has happened. The truth will be out soon and Justice will win.

Bigamy is an offence – does it apply to Karunanidhi also?

The Madras High Court has reiterated the already existing provision of Law that bigamy is an offence. The one accused of this offence can not hold an office in the Government. In its judgment delivered a couple of days ago, the court has held that even if the second marriage is done with the consent of the first wife, it will be treated as an offence attracting punishment. In the case of government servants, this disqualifies the offender from holding the government job.

My question is – does this apply to everyone including the Chief Minister Karunanidhi or only to ordinary citizens?

Or will he say that this law does not apply to him as he had a 'self-respect marriage' and not a Hindu marriage?

Does it then mean that it is a live-in-relationship?

Even if it is so, this does not satisfy the legalities of the recent judgment of the Supreme Court delivered on 21^st October 2010.

The law says something but we have rulers who are first rate defaulters of the Law and yet manage to be out of the reach of Law.

What a people we are allowing such ones to run the country!

Bigamy criminal offence, says court

March 14: The Madras high court has held that even with the consent of the first wife, a marriage among persons covered by Hindu law was a criminal offence under the IPC and a misconduct under the Tamil Nadu Government Servants' Conduct Rules. Justice K. Chandru, however, on the ground of discrimination, set aside the order of the state government removing K. Rajeswari from service for marrying Thankavelu, a government servant, who was already married.

Mr Thankavelu was also compulsorily retired from service following disciplinary action but was subsequently reinstated as per the order of the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT). Allowing the petition filed by Ms Rajeswari, the judge said since the authorities have not indicated any special reason for treating the petitioner for a different treatment, except by stating that the husband and wife worked in two different departments, the impugned order has to necessarily be set aside.

However, referring to the contention that the consent of the first wife was obtained, he said, "Even with the consent of the first wife, a marriage among persons covered by Hindu law is a criminal offence under section 494 of IPC as well as a misconduct under Rule 19 (1) of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants' Conduct Rules." The judge also observed that even a government servant whose personal law permits polygamous marriages cannot marry more than once without the permission of the government as it will be violating conduct rules.

Ms Rajeswari joined the government health department in Salem in 1982 and married Mr Thankavelu, assistant in the department of treasuries and accounts, with the consent of the first wife in 1990. The government then retired Mr Thankavelu compulsorily but reinstated him after SAT set aside the order in 1995. Subsequently, Ms Rajeswari was removed from service in 2000.
She challenged the order before the tribunal and since the tribunal was abolished, the matter was transferred to the HC.

The Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules 1964 provide that a person who has contracted a bigamous marriage or has married a person having a spouse living shall not be eligible for appointment to such services – Rule 21. The All India Services (Conduct) Rules 1968 place the same restrictions on those who are already member of any such service – Rule 19. Both the Rules, however, empower the government to exempt a person from the application of these restrictions if the personal law applicable permits the desired marriage and "there are other grounds for so doing."

These provisions of Service Rules apply to the Muslims and their constitutional validity has been upheld by the Central Administrative Tribunal and the courts. See, e.g., Khaizar Basha v Indian Airlines Corporation, New Delhi AIR 1984 Mad 379 [relating to a similar provisionfound in the Regulations framed under the Air Corporation Act 1953].

Thinking Aloud India too is ripe for a revolution By Dr Jay Dubashi I am not an Egyptian, and I have been to Cairo only once, but I have a feeling that we are going, or will soon be going the Egyptian way. It's only a hunch, and I may be wrong, but I have lived through quite a few revolutions, and can smell them, as a cat smells cheese, from a distance. We are on the cusp of a revolution ourselves and one of these days, we shall see horses galloping down the Rajpath, and tanks and armoured cars circling Flora Fountain in Mumbai, as they did in 1946, forcing the British to quit India. Look at it this way. Revolutions do not come through announcements in the classified columns. They just happen. A month ago, nobody could have predicted that Cairo would be in flames in a couple of weeks' time and Alexandria would start burning. Not a single pundit in Washington or London, leave alone here in New Delhi, would have told you with a straight face that Hosni Mubarak would flee in a few days to a resort on the banks of the Nile, while Barack Obama, his great friend, watched helplessly from the banks of the Potomac in Washington. But that is what happened. All it required to get the revolution going were a few laptops, and may be twenty or twentyfive thousand men and women in Tahrir Square, and the deed was done. It was the quickest revolution of modern times, exactly 18 days long, and a despot was pulled down, before you could say "Inshallah". Can it happen in India? Of course, it can, and I have a feeling, it will, sooner than you think. In Cairo, they were asking for bread, jobs and the army back in the barracks. In Delhi and Mumbai and Kolkata, they are asking for the heads of crooked politicians, which means every other politician, and their loot. Farmers have been dying in hundreds over the last few years, but nobody takes any notice. Men like Sharad Pawar, I am told, have never visited them. Prices have doubled, yes, doubled, in the last twelve months, whatever experts like Pranab Mukherji and P Chidambaram might say, but all that Dr Manmohan Singh, the world's great economic expert, can assure us - when he does open his mouth, which he does rarely - is that he does not possess the Alladin's lamp. Lakhs of crores of rupees have been looted from the treasury, right under the eyes of those, like the great doctor, who are supposed to keep an eye on the nation's wealth, but all they can do is to catch a small mouse from Chennai and another rat from Pune, long after they have had time to secrete the cash to the cool vaults of Switzerland. And do you really think all this has been done without the knowledge, if not on the orders, of the higher-ups in Delhi? Hosni Mubarak and Tunisia's Zine el Abidine Ben Ali are supposed to have salted away billions of dollars in Europe. How much have our Mubaraks and Ben Alis salted away in Italy and Switzerland and London? And if Mubarak & Co can pay the price, why not our own Mubaraks? Revolutions do not give advance notice when they creep upon you. I remember walking down through what was then called Azad Maidan - and, before that, Esplanade - in Mumbai on a fine afternoon in 1946, when everything was quiet and peaceful. There was not a single soldier in sight, and we were having fun watching cricket on the maidan. The next day, as I was going to collect my passport, I heard gunshots and marines, our own, marines, marching, I don't know from where to where, but marching in perfect step, as if going to war. It was the beginning of the so-called naval uprising in Mumbai, which took not only the British, but also most Indians by surprise. Who would have thought that Indian sailors, who had fought under the British Flag for six years, would suddenly decide to give up the ghost and lay down their arms? I watched them myself, utterly stupefied, as they marched past me, and it was only the following morning that I came to know that they had revolted - the first such revolt after 1857 - and would not return to barracks again. The British then realised that their time was up and, if they did not leave India on their own, their goose would be cooked, and they would have another 1857 on their hands. Revolutions have a habit of creeping upon you when you least expect them. Just as you need only two matches to strike a five, two men, or women, can start a revolution. In Tunisia, the revolt was triggered by a vegetable seller - a bhajiwala - whose cart was seized by a police woman because she wanted to stop all traffic for a bada saab who was expected to pass that way. The man was so enraged he set himself on fire and that is how it all began. In India, traffic is held up for hours by the so-called security men, when a bada saab passes by. This does not happen even in Washington when the, President himself is going by. About twenty years ago, when Lyndon Johnson was President, we were visiting friends in Washington, not far from the White House, when the sturdy policemen halted our car, and asked us, or rather begged us, to park our car elsewhere for a few minutes as the President would be passing by. They were so apologetic, I almost cried. In India, we are living in a police state without our knowing it. Anybody can enter your home and take your things away by dangling a non-descript paper before your eyes. They can take away your car, and in small towns, they can rob you of your land, your home, and your money, there are so many murder every day, you do not know who is killing whom. And through this mayhem, the politicians and the bureaucrats, who, between them, have looted this country right and left, and are still looking for more loot, sail calmly from one election to another, and from one cushy job to the next one, without batting an eyelid. This country is ripe for a revolution. What shape it will take, I do not know, just as Hosni Mubarak did not know, until he saw the writing on the wall, that his time was up. Of course, we are supposed to be a democracy, and revolts do not take place in a democracy. Go and tell that to the next farmer preparing for suicide because he has lost everything, and to the family whose small piece of land has been stolen by a local babu. And you still think there is not going to be a revolution?

‘Cho’ Ramaswamy meets Rajinikanth.

Yesterday Cho Ramaswamy has met Rajinikanth and the grapevine is that he is out to convince him to support the AIADMK combine.

That it needs someone to convince or persuade Rajinikanth, to voice his opinion against the DMK is a dot on the integrity and sense of responsibility of Rajinikanth.

Any person with concern for democratic values and good governance will find it irresistible to keep quiet at this juncture in Tamilnadu. It is obvious that corruption has made the DMK and the Congress to stick together for the upcoming elections. It is also obvious that large-scale scale rigging and malpractices are going to happen with these two parties on the same side. Why should the Congress keep insisting on the poll pact that they want, if they are not so sure of winning by crook? The EVMs are a suspect and with the Congress in the mood that it is now, I am worried that we are going to witness the most unfair election this time.

When every right thinking citizen is concerned about such  brazen violations of the norms of free and fair elections, here is the “Super Star’ who is reported to be out of station for a month during the polls. This is akin to running away from the responsibility.

Had he remained out of focus from politics all these years, no one would have expected him to be ‘responsible’ now. 

But having spoken against a bad regime in the past, he is expected to speak against the regime that he supported then for what it has done to the people and the nation.

He must speak up.

POLITICAL ANALYST, ACTOR HOLD TALKS FOR AN HOUR `DISCUSS PREVAILING POLITICAL SCENE' IN TN

March 12: Superstar Rajinikanth held `secret' consultations with wellknown political analyst and Tughlak editor Cho S.Ramaswamy at his Poes Garden bungalow here on Saturday, triggering speculation whether he would extend support to AIADMK chief Ms Jayalalithaa in the Assembly poll. It is common knowledge that Cho had negotiated the alliance between her and DMDK's `Captain' Vijayakanth, bitter foes till then.

Even as the poll heat picked up amid much squabbling between the various allies and also within individual parties for seats and constituencies, Cho drove to Rajini's house in the morning and held talks for about an hour, over fruit juice offered by his good old friend. The two `discussed the prevailing political scene', says a source.


After the meeting, the two friends left in Cho's car to an unknown destination.
There was no other person in the car as Cho himself drove the vehicle. "We do not know where the two had gone. It does not seem that they went to see Jayalalithaa living close by," said the source.


Cho was unwilling to come out with a direct answer when asked if he had discussed the coming elec tions with Mr Rajinikanth and if the latter agreed to support the AIADMK. "I cannot say anything at present," he said. Cho had played a pivotal role in the forging of poll ties between Vijayakanth and Ms Jayalalithaa, despite their oft-professed dislike for each other. After three or four rounds of talks with the DMDK chief, he managed to get the mercurial movie star around to settle for the 41 seats that the AIADMK leader offered. It remains to be seen whether Cho would be able to repeat his `coup' with the superstar now.

DMK employs school children for campaigning.

DMK has been proving time and again that it is a party without conscience.

The recent proof is that of engaging school children as young as nine years old, for going around the streets and shouting slogans for the DMK for which they are paid Rs 50 a day. The DMK has no dearth of ideas in exploiting the poverty and ignorance of the poor. And now by roping in the kids, the DMK has shown that it has no heart.

It is examination time and when everyone’s concern is on how the kids are going to fare in the exams. Already these kids studying in government schools were deprived of teachers who were deputed for census work. I don’t know why the government is adamant on using the teachers for works such as census enumeration and polling booths. There are numerous unemployed persons waiting in the list of employment exchange. They could be given these jobs. But the government wants to use the government teachers expecting them to become loyal to the party,  with scant regard for the welfare of the poor students.

There is no concern for the standard of education in government schools. There is no concern for the plight of the students who are deprived of the teaching staff, And now the DMK has shown that it has no sensitivity to the rights and welfare of students. By luring them to campaign for them for money, they are encouraging child labour which is punishable. The DMK has loads of money and lots of unethical ideas to win the elections. The use of kids is just one facet of the true colors of DMK. This must be challenged and stopped.

`Catch them young’ has become the mantra of DMK functionaries in Vellore district when it comes to election campaign.

Well before the party high command finalises the candidates for constituencies, the party loyalists have roped in school-going children, some as young as nine years, to campaign for the party.
In the last two days alone, Ambur town has been seeing children in the age group of 9-15 years campaigning for the DMK after school hours. Groups of 10 children go around different parts of the town raising slogans like `Vote for DMK', `Vote for Rising Sun' and `Ungal Vottu Kalaignarukku'.
Parties engage children for campaign and pay them `50. "We are given `50 to raise slogans for the DMK.
We go around 10 streets in our area raising the slogans," said a 14-year-old boy studying in class IX in a government-aided school in the town. 




The main reasons for this tactic were that the children were very enthusiastic and are cheap labour. “Once the political parties announce their candidates, you will see more and more children carrying party flags and raising slogans,” said social activists.
Another group of children were found campaigning for the DMK in wards 3 and 14 of Ambur municipality.

"Our ward councillor Rafiq has engaged the children ­ some as young as eight years for the last two days to campaign in our area.
When I asked the boys, they said the councillor gave them `50 each," a ward 3 resident said on condition of anonymity.

Denying it, the councillor said, "I am camping in Chennai with cadres to urge our leaders to field a DMK candidate in the constituency."

Tsunami in Japan and of course some astrology!

The most tragic display of destructive power of Nature is being witnessed right now in Japan and its surrounding areas. The earthquake of an intensity of 8.9 magnitude is perhaps the 4^th severe one in the world recorded so far. The worst ever earthquakes exceeding a magnitude of 9 have all happened under the sea and perhaps this is the first time Japan has experienced this intensity close to 9. 

The accompanying tsunami and the simultaneous break out of fire have no parallel in the history of recorded earthquakes. The only time a worst ever fire accompanied an earthquake was on September 1, 1923. It occurred in Japan only. But there was no tsunami then. The cause of the fire at that time was that many people were cooking and the damage caused by the earthquake resulted in the cooking fire spreading rapidly and causing huge causalities. Nearly 1,43,000 people perished in the fire and the earthquake.

Looking at the astrological factors given by Varahamihira, the earth quakes that occur in the 2^nd six hours of the day in a place is called ‘Agni’ earthquake. If the asterism of the day happens to be Bharani, Krittika, Pushya, Maga, Vishaka, P.Phalguni or P. Bhadrapada, there will be fire after the earthquake. The 1923 earthquake happened on Bharani in the 2^nd six hours of the day in Japan and today also the day is witnessing the Agni star, Krittika.

For a quick understanding, I am giving here the most important features.

The lunar thithis from Chathurdasi (14^th lunar day) and sashti (6^th lunar day) are the vulnerable days for the earthquake to happen. Even though the earth is continuously experiencing some tremors on all days, the worst tremors happen on these days only.

The colored areas show probable earthquake days

The position and aspect of Mars and the nodes on earthy signs and the Martian signs of Aries and Scorpio also must be there.

The worst earthquakes have happened when the earthy Virgo has been afflicted by Mars and Saturn.

The affliction caused to watery signs by Mars and Saturn when the above afflictions are present would  result in tsunami.

When the above afflictions are partially present, but the affliction to watery signs are there by Mars and Saturn, there will be cold winds and severe snow-fall causing destruction.

The Martian collusion with the Sun and the Solar sign of Leo causes fire.

We can see these in today’s and 1923 earthquake which witnessed a widespread fire.

Note the malefic combination of Sun, Mars and Rahu in the fiery sign. Scorpio receives the aspect of Mars and Saturn while Aries is aspected by Ketu. Saturn is in Earthy sign while Rahu fans the winds of 2 airy signs from Leo. The stress is in Leo signifying eastern direction affecting Japan.

The vulnerable Virgo has been afflicted by the presence of Saturn and the 8^th aspect of Mars.

Mars and Sun are together in a windy sign and aspect Leo on an Agni day of Krittika.

The 2 Martian signs receive the aspects of Saturn and Ketu.

The 2 watery signs (Pisces and Scorpio) coming under saturnine aspect is indicative of tsunami potential.

The direction is determined by the location of Moon.

The general direction is East (Both Aries and Taurus ).

After seeing the intensity of this earthquake, it is disquieting to think of the collusion that is going to take place in Pisces soon.

When Mars and Sun move over there – which is going to happen shortly – and when moon joins Saturn in Virgo, the earthquake – tsunami axis comes into place.

It starts for a week from March 20^th.

But a more deadly combination happens in June this year which I have written in the above mentioned article.

At that time Rahu would have moved to the Martian sign of Scorpio and Mars will be in its own sign of Aries.

On June 1^st there will be partial solar eclipse that can be seen in the now troubled ring of fire. 

On June 15^th, there will be a total lunar eclipse which will be again visible in that part of the world.

Most indicators of earthquake are present at that time with a potential for tsunami and not fire.

Again the second half of 2012 will see a season of earthquakes.

This is in no way connected with the Mayan prediction.

The factors that accompany earthquakes are in good strength at that time.

In mundane astrology, like in any science, we go by the repeatability of features and the accompanying events.

Earthquakes come with regular features.

Such features repeat every now and then.

They repeat in the second half of 2012 too.

Let people not get jittery.

Recently it has been reported that moon will be coming closer to earth on 19th March. People are worried what it would mean. This close encounter happens every 20 years. From previous encounters, we can safely say that the world will not end!!

From astrological point of view, the location itself decides the outcome - come whatever be the distance of the moon. So the distance is not a grave threat. It  is the overall combination of celestial bodies that work in unison upon each other. On the upcoming Full moon day, barring Venus almost all the planets will be facing each other and at right angles to the nodes. Though Mars will still continue to be in Aquarius, its 8th aspect falls on Virgo, where moon will be joining Saturn. The days that moon crosses the problematic arc are vulnerable. But let me repeat that it is not to do with the distance of the moon but it is about the overall combination involving other planets also.

Again another astrological point of view is that the moon does affect any fluid of the earth. This includes the mantle under the earth's crust. As told in this article, moon's movement around the earth is one of the main factors for earthquake. Those days have been shown as a diagram above. On March 19th, the moon comes within the problematic arc. I have mentioned in the article the week starting from 20th March is vulnerable. The areas are south west and west of the globe in the ring of fire.

Congress- DMK patch-up on a Tuesday with Chathurthi!!

At last the two smart looters of the nation have reiterated that they can not do without each other.

In the next 24 hours we will be hearing and reading the stories behind the estrangement and the subsequent patch up.

I for one, am also in the race to add a story through my astrological observations!!

I was amusedly waiting for a patch up to happen on Tuesday today!!

Today comes with a bonus in Chathurthi Thithi.

And I am happy that the patch up happened today.

Tuesday is ideal for keeping up the friction between the looters

And Chathurthi ensures that any work started on this day ends up within a year.

A work or deal clinched on a Tuesday that has Chathurthi Thithi will not be propitious.

Chathurthi is not good for starting a work nor for clinching a peace deal.

That Thithi signifies obstacles and therefore no work is finalized on that day.

That day is left to Lord Ganesha to take care of the obstacles.

Any venture or relationship clinched on Chathurthi will run into trouble.

One recent example  is the launch of Kalaignar TV

that Karunanidhi launched on a Vinayaka Chathurthi day. 
It is in the focus of CBI net now.

The Arasu Cable network was started on a Tuesday by him
to outwit the Sumangali cables of Maran brothers after they parted with him.

No one knows where it is today.

The two incorrigible looters who have no sense of shame have decided to fight the elections together.

Alagiri says that theirs is the ‘winning formula.’

We know what he means by it!

It means it is going to be a tough fight between adharma and dharma

If these looters are allowed to have their way, no one can save Tamilnadu.

In this background I only pray that God save Tamilnadu.

I bank on God’s mercy on this State and on the sky map at the time the two looters fixed the deal.

The patch up happened some time between 5 and 6 PM today.

The sky map at that time (holds good for anytime between 5 and 7 pm, for Delhi) had lagna at a fixed sign in Leo.

The looters have firmed up their relationship.

 

Interestingly the 10^th lord is in 6^th house.
The 7^th   is occupied by Sun and Mars – the first rate malefics for premature break up of a relationship.

The lord of dhana and laabha is in debility in the 8^th house.

Jupiter in 8^th house is also not a good sign.

Saturn aspecting the 8^th is also not good.

Ashtama suddhi is needed for a prosperous relationship.

The CBI charge sheet in Spectrum case will be filed at a critical time, just 12 days before the elections.

Let us wait and see the developments.

This alliance would give MK the energy to contest and set to rest the rumors that he is not going to contest in this election.

A long history of a deceitful and cunning politician must be smashed at a time when it can not rise up its head again. Now is the time.

If DMK loses now, that will be the end of MK.

MK will be undergoing Moon bhukthi at the time of elections, which has always seen him out of power whenever he had it in the past.

He played a master game to make the Congress sail with him. 

By joining hands with the DMK, the Congress has proved that its hands also are stained by the Spectrum crease.

The Congress and the DMK have proposed.

Let God dispose them off!
