Inviting readers for the Chitthirai Festival on 21st April.

This is to bring to the notice of the readers that "Moovar Mudalikal Mutram" of Kumbakonam is organizing a "Chithirai Festival" on Saturday the 21st of April at Sir Pitti Thyagarajar Hall at 10.30 am. All are welcome.

Sri.M.Rajaram IAS, Secretary, Information and HR & CE Departments will preside over the function. Dr.Tamilarasan MLA from Republican Party of India will also speak on the occasion.

 A Special Book with a collection of well researched articles by scholars from different fields on "Chithirai Tamil New Year" will be released by Thavathiru Sundaramurthi Thambiran Swamikal of Thirupananthal Kasi Madam, and, a DVD carrying a well-made Documentary on the same subject will be released by Srimad Paramahamsa Appan Parakala Ramanuja Jeer Swamikal, Sri Embar Jeer Madam of Sriperumbudur.

With all humility, let me say that I am also privileged to deliver a short speech on that occasion along with Professor Sami Thyagarajan, Epigraphist Sri.S.Ramachandran and Research Scholar B.R.Gauthaman.
