Success of Kayakalpa experiment.

At the time of Athirathram homa being conducted  last month, we also heard of an ancient ayurvedic secret being tested in a neighbouring place of Panjal. It was the Kayakalpa treatment that is supposed to restore youthfulness. The 45 day treatment has now ended and the reports say that it was a success. (Report given below).

The siddhas and rishis of yore were said to have lived for hundreds  of years. Though one of the causes is attributed to their yogic power, the much talked about Kayakalpa rasayana also could have been another cause for their healthy long life. In the travel notes of Magesthanes, it has been said that it was common sight in India to see ascetics move around with herbs and many medicines (must have been ayurvedic preparations) and distribute them to the people who came to them for the remedy from their ailments. This was 2000 years ago. How much we have lost in these couple of millennia! Can we ever gain back those lost treasures?

92-yr-old turns ‘young’ after kayakalpa

Saran Maharaj after treatment. Inset picture shows Maharaj before the treatment.

A 92-year-old ascetic, Yugal Saran Maharaj, who underwent a special 45-day 'kayakalpa' treatment in seclusion, now has black strands sprouting in his otherwise grey beard and also confesses to feeling ‘youthful stirrings.’

Saran Maharaj underwent the treatment in the three-chambered trigarbha graham at Ottappalam in Palakkad district as part of an attempt to create a `miracle' of rejuvenation using kayakalpa rasayana which is extolled in ayurveda texts.

Besides achieving a haemoglobin count of 15.5, uncharacteristic among people of his age, the ascetic has also started experiencing 'amorous feelings' that he abandoned 60 years ago. Likewise, the swelling on his feet and hands vanished a few shaking teeth have now become firmer.

An ayurveda practioner himself, Saran Maharaj came down from Mount Abu in Rajasthan to go through the rigorous kayakalpa process.
“I did this not to become younger but to prove a point ancient ayurveda can do wonders,” he told Deccan Chronicle. “I was associated with a similar treatment for social reformer Madan Mohan Malaviya in 1933.”

The trigarbha was built by ayurveda physician Dr Sethumadhavan as described in ancient texts spending Rs 32 lakh. “In the chamber one undergoes the process of change like an embryo in the womb,” he said.

However, Saran Maharaj cautions that the treatment is not for the fickle-hearted: “Imagine sitting inside a dark chamber with no water or food,” he said. “Think about having only medicines supplemented with a glass of milk.”

A season of confessions.

The famous saying that "tough times do not last, but tough people do" – seems not applicable in the case of politicians caught in tough situations. Revelations and realizations are reeled out when they find the going tough for them, little realizing how such revelations can turn against them. Here are some revelations which are actually in the nature of confessions heard in the last few days.

(1)   Karunanidhi takes the lead among others by his confession on who is actually calling the shots in the Kalaignar TV. Not long ago, he distanced himself from the Kaliagnar TV saying that the only thing that is common with him and the TV is the name 'Kalaignar' and that he has no connection with the TV. But with the CBI having caught Kanimozhi in the net for her connection with the Kalignar TV, Karunanidhi is out in the open with the confession that "Only I compelled Kanimozhi to become a shareholder in Kalaignar TV. She did so only to satisfy me even though she did not relish that idea herself. She did no other crime" (From Karunanidhi's statement released on May 21, 2011).

So he has admitted that Kanimozhi joined the board due to his insistence. What will he say for the inclusion of his wife Dayalu Ammaal in the TV? Obviously that was also due to his insistence. That means they became major shareholders controlling 80%, because he had wanted them to be there. Is this not a proof of his ownership of the TV?  If Kani and Dayalu joined because he wanted it to be so, for whose sake money was given by Balwa? Why the CBI is not taking his statement on Kanimozhi as his admission of his ownership of the TV?

(2)   The second most interesting confession is the one told by Dayanidhi Maran – now known through wikileaks and published by The Hindu. Generally the Marans have a penchant for speaking the truth. One such truthful revelation resulted in the burning of their Magazine office (Dinakaran). When not in good terms with Karunanidhi, truth and nothing but truth seems to flow out of their mouth. Dayanidhi Maran had 'confessed' to the US official that Karunanidhi's resignation threat on the Srilankan issue was a 'drama' and that his party men are experts in looting public money as soon as they get into power.

For details:-

http://www.hindu.com/2011/05/23/stories/2011052357090100.htm

(3)   It seems people have been influenced enough by the Dravidian school of Karunanidhi only to deliver it in action. One such action was the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi.  This confession comes from Kumaran Pathmanthan of LTTE that the DMK ideology of anti Brahmanism influenced Prabhakaran and that was perhaps the reason for the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. Rajiv Gandhi fulfills the slot as a Brahmin (really?) and an Aryan as well. The Dravidian ideology of Karunanidhi  demands that such persons need to be liquidated.   Perhaps this is the perfect description of what the DMK 'ideology' stands for.

On Pathmanathan's confession:-

No one needs to worry whether this confession by Pathmanathan would upset the bond between DMK and Congress. Even as this confession was being read by millions of people, we also heard a simultaneous assurance from Sonia Gandhi (as told by her emissary) that she is sad about Kanimozhi in jail. She had been quiet all these days but suddenly wanted to express her feelings for Kanimozhi after Karunnaidhi went all the way to Tihar jail to talk to his daughter.

What he would have told to Kani is Sonia's guess and that perhaps led her to express her feelings for Kanimozhi.

What did Karunanidhi convey to his daughter?

Did he ask her to become an approver?

Is Karunanidhi a kind of person who will allow the other to go scot-free at his own expense?

If he knows that his house is going to fall, will he fall simply like that?

Will he not see to it that his co-looter's house also is brought down along with his own?

Would we see such a day when Kanimizhi makes a Confession on the combined loot of the 2 G case – so that it would satisfy Karunanidhi's ideology - " together we loot, together we are caught"

If it becomes certain that Karunanidhi's family can not escape the noose, he would not spare Sonia Gandhi.

Sonia seems to have sensed it in his camping in New Delhi.

Every time MK goes to Delhi, he goes with a personal agenda.

This time it is a very crucial agenda of do or die.

He will do and if faced with the choice of death, he will also pull down Sonia along with him.

Otherwise why should Sonia send an olive branch very late,

after MK visited Tihar jail (of all the places on earth!)

Let us wait and see if the Ultimate Confession would come out through Kanimozhi.

Protecting the Mainos from Indians
The political misdeeds of the Congress first family are never put to public scrutiny

By

M D Nalapat

THE external image of the Maino family, which runs the country that claims to be the world's biggest democracy, has been carefully and expensively cultivated. Interviews are bestowed only to those journalists who can be expected to lob softballs and to assist in the creation of the aura of saintliness and patriotism which suffuses each of the numerous official accounts of UPA chairperson Sonia Maino.

Space within the internet gets filled up with laudatory accounts, even while—mysteriously—snide references crop up in sites which feature the handful of individuals who challenge the Maino Myth. Union Home Minister Palaniappan Chidambaram is believed to be behind several of the numerous commands made to website administrators to expunge negative references to the individual whom Chidambaram expects will catapult him to the prime ministership. He has masterminded an internet control law that would make it legally possible for the central and state police agencies to send to prison almost any surfer of the world wide web. Surprisingly, Opposition in India has remained silent over this egregious assault on individual freedoms.

Whenever Sonia's two sisters, or mother, or nephews and nieces or close personal friends such as the Quatrocchi clan come and go from India after visiting with The Madame, the media are kept far away. Indeed, so are the ordinary people of India, so complete is the security surrounding this privileged group. Their reliance on corporate jets goes unrecorded, as does the fact that exit and entry formalities are minimal, even for individuals who have no security clearance. The numerous foreign visits they make are conducted in secrecy, as is the guest list at the pricey locations where they are put up in by obliging 'friends'. Not surprisingly, thus far there have been no photographs or news reports about any of the extended Maino clan, while items about Sonia Maino and her two children are almost always in terms that would bring a smile of approval to known admirers of the family, such as Sunil Khilnani or Amartya Sen. Those running media outlets know the baleful consequences of treating Sonia Maino the way the UK media treats David Cameron, or the US media sees Barack Obama. Such lack of teflon is reserved for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who has far less sway over his ministers than political secretary to Congress president Ahmed Patel.

Lately, when Rahul Gandhi was informed by his entourage that a heap of cowdung was actually charred human remains, his find was breathlessly covered by the entire media, with a few outlets still reluctant to admit that a Maino could get facts so spectacularly wrong after it was shown that the claim was false. This columnist admits to sympathy for Rahul Gandhi, who may yet bloom into an effective leader. However, this can take place only if he escapes from the protective shadow of his mother and treats the people of India as people deserving of rights and respect, rather than see them the way his mother does, as a seething mass of people who need to be constantly kept under the control of the state. In the guise of 'security constraints', Sonia Maino has insulated herself from the very people who have given her entire family status.

Talk of a good horoscope, Sonia Maino has been protected by every Prime Minister of India from Indira Gandhi onwards. The fact that she and Rajiv kept away from the country during most of the 1975-77 Emergency endeared her to Morarji Desai, while Narasimha Rao saw to it that Ottavio Quatrocchi was enabled to escape from India with his secrets still intact. Later on, Manmohan Singh presided over a similar miscarriage of justice in Argentina. The two Law Ministers responsible for this have each been rewarded.

Indeed, it is the Ministry of Law that has become the most effective means of protecting the in-law. The CBI has to rely on the Law Officers of the Government of India for the pursuit of cases, and these usually report to shadowy individuals rather than go by the Constitution of India. During the Vajpayee period, it was National Security Advisor Brajesh Mishra and his Italian connection, while later on, that responsibility devolved on Ahmed Patel, whose nod is needed for most important posts to be filled. The reality in Maino Bharat Mahan is that the "Manmohan Singh Cabinet" is—thus far—an Ahmed Patel Cabinet, which explains the prominence within it of elements such as Vilasrao Deshmukh.

An examination of the travel records of the son of a former Maharashtra CM, will show frequent visits to Dubai, and some to London. Usually, another prominent son would accompany him, the two being business partners who in Mumbai discuss deals in the Oberoi Hotel. Dubai is of course the place where the operational headquarters of a particular conglomerate are located (the spiritual HQ being Karachi), and it is there that discussions can take place away from prying eyes. This conglomerate 'owns' two Union Cabinet Ministers and at least six from the cabinet of a large state, yet none of these individuals is ever the subject of an enquiry by agencies tasked with responsibility for the nation's security. Indeed, at least two of the agencies of the state have voluminous data on the two sons, and on others from VVIP families, but these are kept concealed from the public. Small wonder that the Mainos seek to ensure that the CBI and other investigative agencies be kept out of the (sadly weak) provisions of the Right to Information law. Charactertistically, Sonia, Nadia and Annoushcka ensure this through a trusted agent, in this case Home Minister Chidambaram, whose pre-occupation since 2008 has been to fill the agencies with loyalists. In the process, morale is hitting dangerously low levels, while errors such as bogus names in most wanted lists or outdated arrest warrants multiply.

Why is the opposition as silent as the media about the Maino clan? One reason may be the fact that several within this august group are themselves vulnerable to blackmail. A senior office-bearer of a prominent opposition party was recently linked to an individual jailed for his connection to undesirable elements located abroad. This individual recently became the proud owner of a Rs 30 crore apartment in Mumbai. Of course, he is hardly the only leader of that opposition party to have gained control over expensive flats in Mumbai during the past decade. There are many others, including those who travel near-exclusively by corporate jet, when a decade ago, they could not even afford airfare.

The Mainos know that Sabse Bada Rupaiya. Hence the attempted coup in Karnataka, which of course has been attributed to Governor HR Bharadwaj. That hapless individual is known to be faithful to whomsover is his boss, whether it be PV Narasimha Rao in the 1990s or Sonia Maino these days. To expect Bhardwaj to take a decision on his own would be to believe that he helped Quatrocchi escape because he liked the aftershave lotion used by the fixer from Milan. The fact is that the Governor of Karnataka followed orders, and the reason why the command was given to bring down the BJP government in Karnataka was because the Congress leadership had been given information (by a top BJP office-bearer) that "60 per cent of the cash required for the operations of the party" were sourced from that state. It was to choke off this flow of funds that Bharadwaj was ordered to create a crisis, not once but repeatedly, until Presidents Rule could be imposed. That it was not was because—in a rare show of independence—Prime Minister Manmohan Singh refused to repeat his 2005 mistake of going along with Buta Singh in Bihar. In the Maino universe, it is all about money, and lots of it.

Fortunately, for them, the protective wall around them is too powerful for mere Indians to breach. The media are cowed and silent about their doings, while the agencies of the government ensure that the few who point out facts about the Ruling Family face the consequences of their effrontery. Until those within the government gain the courage to be free persons, casting off the shackles of fear, and until civil society demands that the powerful in India face the same level of transparency as do their US and UK counterparts, this sorry state of affairs will continue. The Election Commission will continue to bar 'negative references' during campaigning, and even the Supreme Court can be relied upon to decree that the people of India do not have the legal right to know even the religion of their leaders. Why blame the Mainos? The fault lies within the rest of us.

We are proud to be Indians But the ruling party heir-apparent is not..(Organiser Editorial)

We are proud to be Indians
But the ruling party heir-apparent is not

Rahul Gandhi says he is ashamed to be an Indian. Every Indian is expected to be proud of his motherland. It is strange that a person who is the No. 2 in the ruling party and aspires to rule the country one day has said this about his country. It brings into question his level of commitment to the country, his patriotism.

He made this comment in the course of his much hyped visit to Uttar Pradesh, where the farmers are agitating against the state government's atrocities on those who were protesting the official land grab.

Strange. Rahul Gandhi has made poverty tourism to Amethi a part of his PR. Visiting foreigners are taken to his constituency to show how the Gandhi family for six decades has been cultivating and nurturing poverty there. His great grandfather, his grandmother, his father and now for seven years his mother as proxy along with their dummy have been ruling the country, for nearly five out of the six decades India has been independent. And this is the raw deal Indians have got. Rahul Gandhi should actually have said that he was ashamed to be a Congressman. For, it is his party which is shifting its political stance, depending on their location. In Delhi, Mayawati is a cohort of the Congress. Just across the border a few kilometers away in NOIDA, she is the biggest villain. Suddenly, there is a clamour for Land Acquisition Act, as if it is a panacea for all farmer problems.

Under the Congress, poverty has reached unprecedented levels. Headlines in two national dailies on the same day this week demonstrated the humongous gap between the rich and the poor in India. While the government told the Supreme Court that the poverty determination level is fixed at Rs 20 per day, a hotel in Delhi, purportedly the most expensive in the country, boasts of a price tag of Rs 10,000 for one pizza. The Planning Commission has lowered the poverty determination levels, to decrease the number of poor people in the country. According to the Planning Commission's submission to the Supreme Court on May 10, 2011, only those people would now be called poor who earn below Rs 578 a month, i.e. less than Rs 20 a day in urban areas. In rural areas it is fixed at Rs 15. Only these people would be eligible for the government's Below Poverty Line (BPL) schemes and benefits. But even by these standards, according to the Planning Commission, 41.8 per cent of Indians are below poverty. Which would only indicate that if we were to apply the one dollar a day levels for determining poverty, the number could rise up to 70-80 per cent.

The government apathy at the poor is evident from the fact that the Ministries of Health and Women & Child have refused to give to the Supreme Court the details of hunger deaths all over the country, according to a report in Times of India dated May 12, 2011. The ministries are in a quandary over the issue as an affidavit filed on this may actually be contradictory to the government's botched up figures on poverty reduction programmes. The UNICEF has claimed that half of the 2438 children below five years die daily in India because of lack of food. The Court has given time till May 13th for the filing of the reply.

The Indian loot stashed abroad is being counted in trillions. The government is adamantly refusing to track down the offenders who have taken the money out of the country. And when it comes to fixing the poverty level, the government has shown such callousness. The farmers' land is being taken away for pittance without their consent. What is being witnessed in greater NOIDA is the same as what is happening in Jaitapur and what happened in Singur. In the name of SEZ, thousands of acres of land have been gifted away to industrialists for no apparent benefit to the people.

Rahul Gandhi's comment that he is ashamed to be a Hindustani, needs all round condemnation. For, he is being projected as prime minister material by the Congress party. The media has generally played down his remark in ample evidence of deference to the 'first family' of the country.

Can any leader in any other country, say the US, UK, or even in Pakistan, get away making such an unbecoming statement? And Rahul Gandhi, a MP, who takes oath by the Constitution, as a responsible leader of the ruling party should retract his statement and apologize. The land mess is the result of the Congress' economic policies, pursued mindlessly, on external orders and plans. The party that came to power on the strength of the aam aadmi has served its 'khas aadmi' (special people) cause very well and promoted crony capitalism.

The price of Family over People = Kanimozi in jail

The much awaited news has come. Kanimozi is behind the bars.
Karunanidhi has reacted that his feelings are that of a father. The cause of the problem is that he has always seen himself as a father and as a family man in his role as the head of the State. His reaction reminds of some incidents from Tamil’s history.

One is the story of Manu neethi Chozan.  When he came to know that his son had killed a calf by riding his chariot on it, he did the same thing to his son as a matter of justice. He ran his chariot over his son and killed him as a duty bound king who has to deliver justice to his subjects including the 4 legged animals. He did not show  his personal feelings as a father when his son was found to have committed a wrong. That king was said to have delivered that judgment to his son in Thiruvarur where Karunanidhi won the elections about a week ago.

Karunanidhi is not a Manu neethi chozan – while in power or without power, because the only neethi he has followed is nenjukku neethi for the sake of his kith and kin. Such a person has poisoned the minds of Tamils for nearly half a century. It is time that people / his supporters realize the inner nature of Karunanidhi and leave him.

We can expect the common man to dump him, but we can not expect the Congress party to do that. They are doomed to sink along with Karunanidhi. So be it.

Another incident is that of Velir king Aay Andiran.
The poet praises him that he is not an ‘aravilai vaNigan’ (அறவிலை வணிகன்).
It means that he will not bargain on dharma, that is, he will not do a thing thinking that it will get him good returns or punya. He used to do things just for the sake of doing them as king and not expecting personal gains for him. Such kings had ruled the Tamil lands, where a Karunanidhi did not even spare the language of Tamil. Even his contribution to the growth of Tamil was aimed with a gain for himself.

Yet another incident is that of an explanation on how the Tamil kings divided their time between Dharma, artha and kaama
They spent their first part of their day on dharma, meeting the people who came to them  for help etc., the 2nd part of the day was spent of State affairs and on raising the income for the country. The 3rd part of their day was spent on personal life. Therefore, says the poet, they can go to the king during the time  he will be doing dharma so that they do not have to wait to get an audience with him.

Here we had Karunanidhi dividing his time between two wives, dividing his meals between two homes with the result the officials  will know where to go at what part of the day!! Such was the disgusting routine of this person who ruled Tamils for a quarter century.

Karunanidhi is an anathema for anything that stands for Tamil’s name and fame.
In the similar vein of what he said, I feel like telling that my feelings are that of a Tamil who has some idea about how our ancestors have had a fine time under the rulership of ancient Tamil kings but cheated by this man who exploited anything and everything of Tamil, Tamil people and their pride.

Tamil history has got a ruler -for the first time perhaps –who was not at all qualified to rule the Tamil people. Let him continue his journey as a father first and last. Before closing, I cannot help thinking that as a father also he cheated his daughter. He disowned her when someone at the time of her birth raised the question whether he was her father.
But now he has returned to her.
Daddy returns!

Imported voting machines can’t be trusted: CEC

Forward from Dr S.Kalyanaraman.

This is the most effective admission by CEC that Indian EVMs also cannot be trusted because the microprocessors of EVM Control units are manufactured outside India (USA and Japan) and the programs embedded in these microprocessors are also processed outside India. Such programs cannot be read even by ECI, ECIL or BEL experts or ECI expert committees.

So, the solution, Mr. Quraishi, is to ban the use of Indian EVMs (until India gains indigenous competence to make microprocessors and burn-in embedded programs in such microprocessors) and for SC to declare use of Indian EVMs unconstitutional.

It is good at times to look into the mole in one's own eye.

Imported voting machines can't be trusted: CEC

New YorkAfter the revolution in Tahrir Square, Egyptian authorities consulted India's Election Commission for help in conducting parliamentary polls in the country, only to get cautious advice from chief election commissioner (CEC) SY Quraishi. He asked his Egyptian counterpart to not import electronic voting machines (EVMs) from anywhere and get these manufactured domestically. Imported machines, however faultless they are, could be deemed suspect, he warned.

"The validity of any election lies in the fairness of the process, if the machine is imported from somewhere, there is always a possibility that the election will be questioned as being rigged through the machines," he said, in an interview to FE. The recent campaign against the use of EVMs in Indian elections, Quraishi said, hinges on the chip, "which is manufactured outside the country and is therefore supposed to be suspect".

"I was very clear that our process was very fair, but the indigenisation of manufacturing would make their elections invulnerable to such charges. I told anti-EVM campaigners as well, set up units which manufacture the chip in India, and we'll talk," he added.

While the Egyptians may take a call on whether or not to adhere to Quraishi's advice, the CEC, at the end of a long season of conducting assembly polls in four states and one Union territory, said that the road to electoral reforms in India itself is a long and bumpy road. "Its been 18 years and counting," he said.

"The last set of meetings that we had on electoral reforms, where everything from paid news to criminality in politics and the role of money power was discussed, was in October. After that, we are still waiting for the political class to make up its mind on which way they want to go," he said.

Among the suggestions made by the CEC was the exclusion of those accused of heinous crimes from standing for elections as a way to check criminality in politics as well as transparency about political donors, and cheque payments for electoral expenses in order to curb the use of black money in elections.

As the last phase of the drawn-out West Bengal polls ends, Quraishi says that the peaceful elections in all four states and one Union territory has justified is often criticised timetable. "Although I don't know why people criticised us, the only people who have been punished by the schedule is the staff of the Election Commission," he said.

The new Secretariat and the tax payer’s money.

Barely within a day of Jayalalithaa assuming office, the detractors have started finding fault with her decision to discard the new Secretariat.
This decision of hers is not new or sudden.
She has been telling that all along and also mentioned it in her election manifesto.
If people had voted for her, it means that they have known her stance and accepted it. That is why the authorities in the government had started readying the St George’s on their own volition even as  the election trends were coming to be known.

Most of the money spent by the government is tax-payer’s money.
The detractors must have told this to Karunanidhi when he started the work.
That building was initially planned for 200 crores, but who stretched it to a whooping 1200 crores?

Where was Veeramani, Vaiko and others at that time when Karunanidhi was making it as though a Mukesh Ambani is building his house by his own funds?

Why so much extravaganza and costly fittings for a place that is going to discuss how to provide the next meals to the common man by the representatives of the common man?

The horrific thing is that the structure was gold plated for decoration while millions of women in Tamilnadu can not even think of minimum gold ornaments around their neck and hands.

Think of the first order signed by Jayalaithaa.
It was to provide 4 grams of gold to the poor girls at the time of marriage.
Gold has such usage in all the families in our State whereas Karunanidhi has no second thought on pouring people’s money for gold plating of the structure.
Can any ordinary woman in Tamilnadu relish the sight of that golden decoration which otherwise could have gone to them in some forms of utility?

Karunanidhi may compare this gold plating with the gold plating done on temple gopurams, but such works are done with devotee’s contribution.
Here the money spent on the Secretariat with all the features of a 5-star hotel could have become more meaningful if spent on the needs of the people.
With that enormous money – which now stands at 1200 crores,
power generation could have been hiked and
many industries could have been saved in the last 2 years of Karunanidhi’s rule.
But Karunanidhi went about his way with the sole aim of wishing to see that he gets a name through that.
Karunanidhi 'supervises' gold plating work:-

The detractors of Jayalalithaa can not think all these.
They have only one agenda – oppose Jayalalithaa blindly and support Karunanidhi for whatever he does.

The problem with the structure is that Karunanidhi did not seek a consensus on building the new Secretariat.
Public memory is not short and we know how Karunanidhi’s thirst for name and fame made him thwart the efforts by Jayalalithaa in her previous tenure to build a new Secretariat building.
All her earlier attempts to expand the Secretariat at St Georges were thwarted by the DMK with the help of its ministers at the Centre, solely to deny her a name in history. After coming to power, DMK renamed many structures constructed by Jayalalithaa but our detractors and the media turned a Nelson’s eye to them.

One example where the common man is forced to shell out money due to Karunanidhi’s  thirst fro name is the Koyembedu bus stand (CMBT) originally  inaugurated by Jayalalithaa.
It is the biggest one in Asia.
After coming to power, Karunanidhi engraved his name on it by shifting its entrance to another part of the bus stand.
Because of this, the people have to go half a kilometer extra,
for which the autowallahs coolly charge extra money 20 rupees plus.
Where are Veeramani, Vaiko and others?
Why is the common man made to pay extra money to enter the bus stand through the gate that was shifted just to show Karunanidhi’s name engraved there?
Thousands of people are going to CMBT carrying their luggage in the autos.
Just calculate how much money has been taken out from common man in all these years for an act done to satisfy Karunanidhi’s ego.
Veeramani or Vaiko do not bother about this loss to common man.
That is why they are where they are now!

Not only that, Karunanidhi’ government turned the Koyembedu bus stand into a dump yard.
The bus stand that is the biggest one in Asia was treated callously by Karunanidhi government by dumping the garbage.
No magazine, no reporter, no politician raised a whimper about it.
Probably they do not know about it.
After all the bus stand is meant for common man.
How could we expect these detractors to have gone there in their lifetime to board the buses?
These people would not consider such a treatment to the vital facility of the common man as wastage of public money,
but would jump up to find fault for not using the new Secretariat.

Their grouse is that the Secretariat was built with tax-payer’s money.
Is it right to waste it by not using it?
I agree with them.
It is not right to waste tax payer’s money.
That money can be realized manifold by selling it or leasing it.
One suggestion is that all government offices can be shifted there.
On my part I would say sell it through auction.

Until now 1200 crores have been spent.
More money is needed to finish it, which will take 6 more months for completion.
If Karunanidhi loves it very much, let him buy it.
He is not like Lord Rama who left everything and went to the forest and ‘dared’ to build a bridge across the sea without proper educational qualification.
But Karunanidhi is a different person.
He has all the money to buy the State.
And he was more qualified than the German experts and
built the structure by himself brick by brick.

He has all the money to buy it also.
If he does not, we have umpteen number of billionaires to buy it.
It could fetch nothing less than 10,000 crores if auctioned.
That is public money.
Let that money be used for power projects or other projects which will directly reach the people.
I want public opinion to be built on these lines so that any more spending on that building must be stopped and money is made from the building to benefit the common man directly.

I have another reason to say this.
Karunanidhi has a proven record of a Bhasmasura
He demolished the DMK.
He poured enormous money on the building only to become unusable for the purpose he envisaged.
He could not sit there as Chief Minister.
He could not make his son sit there as Chief Minister.

For such a huge expenditure of public money,
no Vaastu or muhurtha principle was followed to ensure its success.
His choice of inauguration time of the New Secretariat shows that
any assembly session  (the purpose for which it is built) can not go smoothly and
there would be always disputes.
For a building that is meant for devising ways and means for the welfare of the people, this natal chart of the building shows unsatisfactory trends.

Just look at the inauguration muhurtha of the complex.

March 13, 2010,
5-00PM

The lagna is Leo hemmed between malefics (papa karthari).
The lagna lord is in 8th in the bhava chart.
The yoga karaka Mars is in debility in Rasi, bhava and the Shodasamsa (D-16)
(Note: Even if a planet is in debility in rasi, its position in Navamsa can nullify the debility if it is exalted or in a friendly sign in Navamsa. But that is not all. We have to see the Shodasamsa (D-16) also. The Shodasamsa position finally determines the way the debilitated planet of the rasi will behave. The debilitated Mars continues to be in debility in Shodasamsa.)

Similarly the 7th lord, Saturn which was in retrogression in the 2nd at the time of inauguration, has gone into debility in the 4th house in the Shodasamsa.
The Building can not have smooth functioning between the opposite parties.

For mundane purposes, the 11th house and its lord stand for Parliament and Assembly or the seat of people’s representation. The 11th house is Gemini with Ketu occupying it and Saturn casting its 10th aspect on it. The 11th lord Mercury is combust. It is in the 8th in debility in the bhava chart and in the 12th along with karaka for government (Sun) in the 12th in the Navamsa. It is aspected by debilitated Mars and Saturn in D-16.
The structure can not become the seat of Assembly

The dasa running right from inception also happens to be that of debilitated Mars.
In the bhava chart, Mercury, the 2nd and 11th lord debilitates but is redeemed by the 10th lord Venus. Venus as lord of 3rd and 10th is in exaltation in the 8th , but joins Rahu in the 5th in Navamsa aspected by bhaadak Mars (For the fixed lagna of Leo, the 9th lord mars is the Bhaadak) and joins the debilitated Mars in the 7th in Shodasamsa.

The star lords of moon and the current dasa are debilitated in Shodasamsa. The sub cuspal lords of the 1st, 9th and 10th houses also are in debility or weak in D-16. Though the 3rd lord has exalted in the 8th, it is in the asterism of Saturn which is in the 6th from moon in Navamsa aspected by the baadak lord Mars and is in debility in D-16. No session done in this structure can be smooth or beneficial for the public.

From moon, the 4th lord Venus is exalted in the 2nd and from lagna the Venus as 10th lord is exalted in the 8th. In all probability, the structure can bring money. The ideal solution is to stop spending more on it for its completion and instead raise money by selling it. Or raise money by renting it.

Introducing new blog as an alternative.

Regular readers are aware that blogspot goes off suddenly, creating worries whether such disappearances are deliberately done. So as a safety measure, an alternative blog has been created in wordpress.com under the caption, "Jayasreesaranathan's Blog" (http://jayasreesaranathan.wordpress.com/)
My name is there in the title to facilitate easy remembrance of the blog's name and for easy search. Not a case of self indulgence.

I will be posting simultaneously the same articles in this blogspot and in the wordpress. The link to this blog is given in the sidebar.
